Thanks for sharing and showing interest in how we can develop user roles to suit your needs when using Xero.
With many varying ideas for roles and permissions in different areas of our products, user roles impact all areas of the product. There are many factors we must consider when addressing how to solve for majority of our customers needs.
We’re in the process of conducting research on the current landscape and how we might approach some of the most predominant needs in roles for our customers. This being one of our highest voted ideas surrounding roles is a specific focus for the team. too.
Discovery of this work is its first stages and will be long running. There will be multiple phases of research and forms of engagement with users that’ll help shape the path ahead in this space.
We value our customers input and would like to…

Separate access to bank accounts has been requested for around 10 years.
If Xero has been working on "Building on beautiful" work for 10 years is should be absolutely beautiful by now !!!
Xero isn't called "Xero" for no reason - it's because they've got zero interest in listening to their users.
The obvious solution is to vote with your feet (or fingers) and change to a software provider that allows user control of user access to different tasks and to a supplier who cares. An error occurred while saving the comment Noel McKenney commented
To Ethan M (Admin Xero)
Ian F's comments were spot on - this issue has been going for around 10 years and continued to be ignored and should be a simple thing for any programmer worth his or her salt to fix.
I'm convinced Xero's name is based on having Zero regard to users requests and this is the utmost evidence of that.
Your attitude and regard for not caring what your user's want is really PATHETIC.
Furthermore, removing the history so it doesn't show how many users have "voted" for this matter to be fixed over the last 10 years is absolutely deceitful (maybe you should join the Board of Qantas !!)An error occurred while saving the comment Noel McKenney commented
It's pretty obvious that Xero's interest in sorting this ongoing critical issue and their care factor in general is absolutely ZERO !!!
PATHETIC !!!!An error occurred while saving the comment Noel McKenney commented
It's pretty basic and extremely deficient of Xero to have ignored this request for more than 5 year.
Care factor by Xero is Zero !!!Noel McKenney supported this idea ·

Hi everyone, we appreciate the support and feedback this idea has continued to receive, and the appetite for being able to add multiple addresses to a Clients record.
As you may have seen or read from our recent Xerocon announcement we have some exciting changes coming for our partners with Xero Partner Hub.
One of the big changes with this is unifying Client experiences and bringing them into one place - Meaning with Xero Partner Hub you'll have the ability to add multiple addresses for a client 😊
We understand there's a secondary request within this idea to be able to tag an email for specific purposes and we want to be upfront that his won't be possible with the initial launch but our product team are aware and considering how we might develop Xero Partner Hub for this use overtime - We have created a separate idea that we'd…

Should be done as a priority.
If Xero programmers can't work out how to do it, maybe they should ask MYOB to show them !!!!!An error occurred while saving the comment Noel McKenney commented
Yes would be good - if Xero listened & cared that is....but they don't give a toss and have zero interest in listening. They may as well change their name to "MYOB" because they have become just as bad (which is why we switched from MYOB to Xero in the first place !

This request for limited access to bank accounts has been going on for a significant number of years and Xero has zero interest in listening to users comments. I think it will take a user suing Xero for negligence if their business gets defrauded by an employee having full operating access to bank accounts when this restrictive feature has been requested so many times by so many users. Absolute gross negligence by Xero.
