Products & Services - great we now are able to give users access to view/edit etc but can we also give them access to the list of sales/purchases for each product that shows below the product information. Not sure why this does not show when the user also has access to create sales invoices and purchase orders.

    Hi Community 👋,

    Thank you for raising this with us and sharing how you're using Products & Services.

    Based on feedback we're looking to further update permissions so that users with Invoice only – Approve & Pay(sales and purchases) access will also be able to see the sales and purchases transactions table on the product page. Seeing as this permission already have access to most of these transactions elsewhere in Xero, we appreciate how this change would make things more consistent and easier to work with.

    Hi team, we appreciate all the feedback this idea has received over time. With our reimagined navigation this is something our product teams considered closely, however there is a bit of work involved to achieve what's being asked and we want to be open it's not in the roadmap right now. However, we're keeping a pulse on the feedback here and will be sure to share if there's any progress. Thanks

  3. New Inventory Permissions - Standard user automatically gets full control of inventory. Is it possible to customise this like you have in Invoice only to View,Edit etc?

    Could we please request further customisation of inventory permissions?

    Under the current permission structure (NEW), a standard user has the ability to edit and manage inventory. However, if reduced to Invoice only, they can view inventory items (which is helpful) but they lose the ability to view all invoices for a contact. This makes it difficult for them to properly review customer purchasing history.

    Thanks for the additional feedback! Understand how having these permissions for the Standard role would be beneficial, and this is something we do want to support but don't have a clear timeframe for just yet.

  4. Would love to see the option to assign an expense approver to multiple expense submitters or even an 'Approvalmax' approver matrix function added to Xero Expenses. Currently using Xero Expenses to administer over 100 employees expenses and need stronger controls than central finance approving all. Happy to help design/ test!

    Hi everyone, we appreciate the number of users that'd like to see more mechanisms to assign and control who approves specific employee's claims.

    Our product teams have a close eye on this idea, and while this feature is not in the roadmap atm, they'll keep reviewing this as they continue to plan and prioritise work for Expenses. So, if there us any shift in status we'll share an update to keep you all informed on the idea, here.

    Hi community, your ongoing interest in giving users the ability to reconcile without viewing account balances is welcomed.

    We understand why this level of bank permission control matters. As recently mentioned in my updates on this idea, while we do have current work for user roles underway there is more complexities to developing permissions within the banking space and this isn't on the immediate roadmap.

    As we continue our journey to evolving roles within Xero we'll be sure to share any progress for permissions in bank accounts with you all, here.

  6. Ability to have separate ‘Reply-to’ email addresses within the same Xero organisation.

    Purpose: Users can easily change the email address that they’d like to use when sending email from Xero, rather than having to go through settings to change it.

    Hi everyone, though there isn't any progress to share on this idea we do want to provide and update for you all and thank you for engaging with us about this here.

    We understand the desire and needs for being able to change or set a separate reply to email address when sending from your Xero organisation.

    We're continuing to make improvements to sending of invoices in Xero however at this point our roadmaps does not extend to the email settings specifically.

    This continues to be an area we're interested in diving deeper into in the long term and we'll be sure to share as soon as there's movement.

    For the time being the only way to change the Reply-to email is to update this on the email settings screen prior to sending your transaction and change it back post sending. Thanks

  7. Ability to return to the previous screen after the user edited a transaction.

    Purpose: To make users easily continue working on the previous page rather than having to navigate from the different page again.

    Hi everyone, thanks for all your support and feedback of how changes in navigation could help your use of Xero. While not across all areas of the product there are some updates in Bills that we wanted to share and may help the needs of some in the idea here.

    We've launched Bills quick view where there's now an eye icon within the line of the bills list. From here you'll find more ease in viewing, and more recently being able to edit bills from this view without having to leave the list, meaning you can simply make adjustments and move from one bill to the next.

    We'll continue to explore and develop solutions like this to help our customers get more out of Xero on the go. I'll keep you informed of other updates that could enhance your experience, here.

  8. For employees who use Xero My Payroll, if you are a Payroll Admin user, you can grant employees authority to approve leave. The option for Timesheet approval should also be there, it is available in other countries but not NZ.

    Hi everyone, thanks for your feedback on allowing authorised employees to approve timesheets. We appreciate you sharing how having managers approve timesheets without full payroll access could help streamline processes.

    Our product team is currently exploring more granular permission levels in payroll, so we’ve moved the idea to Accepted.

    Although this isn't currently on the roadmap, we'll keep you updated as things progress. Thanks for your continued input.

  9. To have the ability limit some users to access some bank accounts within Xero org.

    We appreciate everyone that's contributed here. Needs in more incremental permissions for bank accounts, have been clearly highlighted in your feedback - from protecting the confidentiality of payroll information to securely delegating reconciliation tasks for specific accounts.

    Leaning in from our last update, our product teams have conducted lots of research of existing user roles, to highlight the most critical areas work is needed to power up our customers use of Xero.

    Reporting and inventory are our first areas of priority, and you may have seen recent updates across ideas for these areas.

    Permissions to bank accounts is another area that stood out in our research, but has more dependencies and will take longer to develop.

    We'll keep you updated as our journey with roles and permissions evolve and there's more in the space of banking to share with you all.

  10. Ability to export and print files from Xero in bulk.

    Thank community, we appreciate all your involvement on this idea. We understand the ability to bulk export or print attached files would be a huge time-saver, especially for year-end audits, client communication, and general record-keeping.

    We’ve evaluated the complexity of this feature against other priorities on our roadmap. Atm, this isn't in our plans however we'd like to explore bulk downloading of files from Xero in the longer term. I'll share an update when we're able to give more attention to this, here.

    For the meantime if this is essential for you right now, you may like to explore third-party integrations through our Xero app store which could meet your needs here.
