Hi everyone, understand the difference between a description only line and what's being asked for in the idea here.

This isn't something we have planned at present.

We do want to highlight the existing option for anyone interested that could benefit from the option mentioned earlier in the conversation (thanks, Paco)

Currently, it is possible to 'description' only lines to an invoice (with no Qty or Price) where you can enter up to 4000 characters worth of detail that could help you signal a note within an invoice to your customer.

We will continue to assess ideas in the forum here and let you know if there are any changes surrounding this to share.

What ****** me off, is that Xero will have the audacity to send a questionnaire to ask for ideas or to find out how wonderful they are. I simply won't waste my time answering them. They have the information they need in their forum.

And then you need to make the 'terms' field in Quotes available in advanced templates!!!!

What upsets me most now that I have discovered it, is that this function is already implemented in the Quotes section as a 'terms' field. Why can't it be set up exactly the same with a 'notes' field in the Invoicing section?

    COME ON XERO

A simple 'Notes' field that can be put in an advanced invoice and quotes template would suffice for this request. It would tidy up the invoice layout. Examples attached. Imagine having multiple lines of products then a gap. Looks stupid.

Come on, this is an easy fix!!

Hi everyone, thanks for your contributions to this idea. We appreciate your feedback about the challenges in ensuring all billable costs are recovered, and your desire for an improved experience.

As noted by others in the idea, there are some features that will give some visibility of billable expenses at present.

Understanding the value more visibility of unassigned bills would have for customers, this is something we’ll continue to review in future planning but isn’t in the current roadmap. We'll be sure to update you all if this gets picked up.

Listing all expenses that have been assigned to a customer would be easy to implement and should be shown under the Contact activity screen.

I would like to change the code of an existing item in my inventory to another inventory code. I am grouping inventory items by type, some of the items have been entered into inventory, and transactions have been made against the item, which has now made it impossible to recode to another inventory group. I don't see a reason to make this function unavailable. It is still an inventory item as long as it is under an inventory category.
