Hi everyone, we appreciate the importance of being able to view and understand where billable expenses have and haven't been assigned. While we have keen eyes on the idea here, with other big pieces of work on the go we want to be open that this is not in the roadmap atm.
We want you to know we're taking on board all your feedback here, and will continue to stay across this, and keep you updated of any news or progress that'll improve visibility for your needs here.An error occurred while saving the comment -

An error occurred while saving the comment The Auto Sparky commentedI would like to change the code of an existing item in my inventory to another inventory code. I am grouping inventory items by type, some of the items have been entered into inventory, and transactions have been made against the item, which has now made it impossible to recode to another inventory group. I don't see a reason to make this function unavailable. It is still an inventory item as long as it is under an inventory category.

Hi everyone, understand the difference between a description only line and what's being asked for in the idea here.
This isn't something we have planned at present.
We do want to highlight the existing option for anyone interested that could benefit from the option mentioned earlier in the conversation (thanks, Paco)
Currently, it is possible to 'description' only lines to an invoice (with no Qty or Price) where you can enter up to 4000 characters worth of detail that could help you signal a note within an invoice to your customer.
We will continue to assess ideas in the forum here and let you know if there are any changes surrounding this to share.

An error occurred while saving the comment The Auto Sparky commentedWhat upsets me most now that I have discovered it, is that this function is already implemented in the Quotes section as a 'terms' field. Why can't it be set up exactly the same with a 'notes' field in the Invoicing section?
COME ON XERO
An error occurred while saving the comment The Auto Sparky commentedA simple 'Notes' field that can be put in an advanced invoice and quotes template would suffice for this request. It would tidy up the invoice layout. Examples attached. Imagine having multiple lines of products then a gap. Looks stupid.
Come on, this is an easy fix!!
Listing all expenses that have been assigned to a customer would be easy to implement and should be shown under the Contact activity screen.
