Thanks for noting the optional paths atm, Paula! Understand it's not the solution being asked here however for those that haven't already we'd recommend looking to connect Hubdoc to help automate the process. 🙂

Hi community, some time passed since our last update in the thread here we do want to return and share - while our product teams explored possibilities for how we might represent Purchase Orders in Projects research has confirmed that there is underlying work needed to the platform Purchase Orders are built on before we can achieve any good outcomes of your needs here.
We have enthusiasm and a close eye remaining on the support for this, but want to be honest that this is not something that we’ll be able to focus our attentions on in the near future.
Once we have completed work first needed in the Purchase Orders space we can reassess how to integrate purchase Orders into Projects and will update you all of steps forward, here.PATRICK BAGULEY

This actual is a really critical and yet basic feature I really need for my work- I am unable to generate and email purchase orders from the app while I'm on the road. I need to be able to organise and send them off quickly while between between jobs so I don't end up with a pile of random receipts and paperwork to decipher at the end of the week of a million jobs.
It seems more like oversight than feature.

This is very frustrating to me that it still isn't resolved. It's a really important concept to me to be able to just convert a bill into a credit note when a negative bill comes in, such that Xero doesn't recognise it as a CR and puts it in as a Bill. Having to actually download the attached files, recreate a CR, re-upload the attached files and input all the information manually is absolutely attrocious.
