    Hi team, we appreciate the continued support in this idea.

    It's great to have the examples you've shared of why being able to see the cost price of an item upon quote creation is important.

    We want to be upfront that we don't have any plans in our roadmap for adding an items cost price within Quotes, however I'd like to share that earlier this year we did release an updated permissions set for inventory that can work alongside the Sales and Purchase(formerly Invoice only) roles. Along with this we are currently working on additional permission controls for reports which may help in some of the needs here where a staff member may need access to inventory without full access to other areas of Xero.

    Hi Kelly,

    Although you make a good point Mark is asking for cost pricing in quotes. In our team our sales team are only allowed to Quote not invoice. So it would be beneficial to be able to see the cost price in the quotes for them as our price changes every three months or between suppliers who may or may not have the product in stock.
