Hi team, thanks for your contribution and sharing with us on your use of being able to see levels of stock when invoicing. Right now, our team are developing improvements to the line item grid in new invoicing, where you enter detail of your invoices. This work also involves providing visibility of your tracked inventory stock on hand so you know how many items you have to sell.
For now we'll move to working on it and I'll keep you updated of when this is released in new invoicing.
An error occurred while saving the comment An error occurred while saving the comment Tom McCarthy commentedIt makes no sense to take away this crucial feature, as many others have also stated in the comments. We can't see if there is enough stock prior to hitting approve now and will have to check each stock item line by line in a separate tab when performing sales invoicing. This is a critical component of using tracked inventory and is a backwards step that leaves your users in a pickle (as invoicing will take 3 times as long now). This is in no way an "improvement" and your logic makes no sense. Also it seems that any "new" features you have "added" were already available before, but you have just moved them to a different part of the screen.

Hi community, thanks for getting involved here and letting us know the importance around being able to see the details whenever an invoice is sent from Xero. We understand the importance of this to our customers and our product team are beginning to review this idea to solve needs in this space. We'll move to Under review and I'll let you know as there's more progress here. Thanks

This hasn't been fixed in new invoicing as stated in a comment in May from Xero Admin. I've just done a couple of test emails and it doesn't state who received the emailed invoice. Please can this be looked into as soon as possible as it seems many people are sticking with classic invoicing for now while we still have access until November. There are just too many fundamental functions missing in the new version.
I also note that other users who have started threads on this same issue have had comments/votes closed on their idea posts, so I'm not able to vote for their suggestion, so having to start a brand new suggestion on what many others have already flagged.

Appreciate you raising this again, Tom. While it's possible to Delete a draft invoice as new invoicing has autosave built in it's not possible to just cancel out without saving once a contact has been entered.
We'll keep track of the specific interest for this here, and I have merged the original idea that was created around this in with this one.

Hi everyone, as another step toward improving history of new invoicing you'll find you'll now see an entry when an invoice is sent, and the email address it has been sent to.
We appreciate this is something we've heard a fair amount of feedback on and we hope helps in your journey to using new invoicing.
We still have more enhancements on the way for history and I'll be back again when more updates land.

Yes an update would be very much appreciated. It's over 3 weeks since new invoicing was officially released and we still can't see stock availability. Like others, I am not using the new invoicing at all, as it doesn't work for our business and creates too much extra work. We now have just 8 weeks until classic invoicing is retired, so it's a little bit concerning that there are no updates to reassure users that this will be sorted in time for 19 Nov (if not sooner, so we can all start using new invoicing and get used to it as soon as possible).
