Hi everyone, thank you for your engagement here in product ideas. While we appreciate wanting a direct option to be able to restart or restore an organisation at a point in time this isn't something we have intentions of developing for in Xero atm.
Xero performs daily backups of customer data to protect against data corruption and hosting service failures. However, these backups are not available for users to restore their organisation to a previous state.
Many actions in Xero are reversible (for example Remove & Redo on bank transactions) we have a help article on Xero Central that may help for some of the scenario's you're after, you may find the History & Notes is useful in determining what actions have been recently made so you can 'undo' these.

Please hurry up with this - its obviously critical - integration mess ups cause hours of fixing and this would completely resolve that as well as being able to explore outcomes freely without fear of causing irreversible or very tedious problems.

used remove and redo on HUNDREDS of payments reconciled to large batch transactions instead of unreconciling. Xero support had no way of helping me, these payments that were deleted cant even be restored or have a file that can be exported that summarises the deleted payments. This is days of work to singularly input manually when in realty it would be a very simple import file that could attach the payments to invoices. Ridiculous really. And xero support just sends me here to write a little note into the void - hopefully xero actually takes these into consideration. Would be better if they could help me now.
