Hi Christine, thanks for sharing this suggestion. When working through longer client pages with multiple tabs and custom fields, it can be easy to lose sight of which client record you’re in. A sticky header that keeps the client name (and possibly reference code) visible would help keep that context in view and reduce the need to scroll back up to confirm details.
At the moment, you need to return to the top of the page to re-check the client information once you’ve moved further down the record.
I’ve moved this to Gaining Support so we can track interest and share it with our product teams for consideration.

Hi team, it’s been interesting to read through all the comments in this thread. We appreciate the ask and the detail you’ve shared around how these changes could make the client edit screen easier to work with when you’re moving quickly between clients.

The previous format for editing was intuitive, I assumed that I could adapt but honestly its just a gigantic wall of white and surprisingly hard to see what needs to be filled in. I find everytime I add a new client, I have missed various everyday fields in the wash of visual challenge.

Thanks for feeding back on the Client search, Carey. The way that search works for the new client list experience is a little different to the older experience, and partial matching is not a feature with this new search.
While it's not in our roadmap atm, our team are keen to stay close the support this idea receives and will consider in future planning. I'll share if there are any updates here.

Thanks for all the engagement and sharing how valuable this feature is to managing your clients with Xero.
I understand the desire for another update and am pleased to share that this is something our product teams will be addressing and are working on developing within the new unified client experience.
I'll share more news here as this gets closer to release.

Please prioritise this as it was an extremely useful feature that was stripped away when XPM was "updated"
It's extremely inefficient to have to manually update every single client within a group and ensure consistency.

Thanks for sharing the details that'll help you better manage clients in your practice. With the new clients experience within Xero Partner Hub you'll soon have new client fields including the ability to enter multiple email and phone numbers so you'll have a place to record client mobile along with other contact numbers.
Xero Partner hub will be rolling out to partners in early 2026. You can register your interest for early access on our website now. We'll return to update when this is rolled out.

Hi everyone, thanks for sharing on your needs for a comprehensive client audit trail in XPM. We understand this feature is critical for accountability and data integrity, and we hear you on the pain points this is causing.
As you might've read and heard updates of our teams are currently working on a unified experience across practice tools with the Xero Partner Hub.
History of client changes aren't wrapped into the initial work, but this is something the team would like to look at longer term and for now we'll move the idea to Accepted. Once Xero Partner Hub is fully released we can consider and will share any updates around history with you all here

Thanks for starting the idea here, Renee.
Just to clarify, when you say ‘duplicate a contact’ would this be; the ability to duplicate an entire client (including all its contacts), to duplicate a contact within an existing client, or duplicate a contact from one client to another?
If the last, we have a similar idea over here that I can join you in with. 🙂An error occurred while saving the comment

Duplicating an entire client would be such a time saver, it's extremely annoying to create a new client group in XPM and have to enter information over and over again when its all the same. APS has a function where you could create a card with the address, phone numbers, basic information and ten copy the card as many times as needed to save time on preparing the group which I used religiously. Not we manually have to slog through six clients.

The amount that I have to expand the archive section to find anything too high.
Even if its two lists on the same page, or just the running list like the old XPM had. We understand they're paid but why do they have to be totally banished to a closed off list we have to expand?
