Hi everyone, while we appreciate your interest in a direct feature in Xero to schedule and manage loans this isn't something we have planned right now.
We do have some information on Xero Central that may help some here with managing loans in Xero.
We will continue to monitor the community support for this in the forums here, and share if there are any updates.

Hi Friends. I've been watching this thread for years. I, too, need to do amortization.
Recently, I got around this limitation by managing my own schedule outside of Xero and using Claude with the Chrome browser extension to do a monthly invoice import for the loan I was tracking/reconciling. The process pulls from an up-to-date schedule, imports only the current month, and then updates a tracker spreadsheet.
It's a bit clunky, and it requires your computer to be on, but it works. In the future, I suspect I will be able to do this on a remote/cloud computer and possibly use the Xero API.
If anyone has come up with a similiar/better solution, please share.
