Hi đź‘‹ everyone, we appreciate all the feedback. We understand if you're in and out of many different client orgs each day why you'd like to be able to increase this drop down.
We're keeping a close eye on the interest for this here and will share if there are any plans made.

Hi everyone, we appreciate all the feedback you've shared.
We'd like to share some changes that have been made since our last update;
- The Demo Company now appears as its own item, separate from the Recent organisations list.
- Separately your recent organisations section can be collapsed, which we understand is helpful for users when sharing their screen.
- There's also now a banner that clearly identifies when you’re in the Demo Company, to help avoid scenarios of entering real organisation data in the wrong place.
We recognise there’s continued interest in being able to hide this option completely. While our product team is aware of this appetite and will continue to consider it in future planning, we want to be transparent here that there are no plans to develop a hide or remove setting in the near term.
We hope these changes make the experience clearer and help reduce accidental access.

Additional yes to this. I had this ability in QuickBooks and lost it after switching to Xero. Overall love Xero over QuickBooks but this is a featured we used a lot. We do short-term rentals and have several complexes with multiple units. So I want to track my repairs and capital improvements by each unit as a sub-category of the parent so I can see both individual unit number and the total costs for the complex.

This is such an easy fix and so many people that want this. How is this not done by now? Maybe there is a reason QuickBooks has such a higher market share. This is a basic functionality that a competent programmer could fix in a few minutes yet users have been requesting this for years with no interest from Xero in fixing this. Please actually listen to your users.
