Hi everyone, thanks for sharing your support for part disposal of Fixed Assets in Xero.  Being transparent - current work for the team requires focus on upgrades to Fixed Asset technology.

However, we’re thinking of what comes next and partial disposal of an asset figures strongly in this. Please continue to detail your particular use cases here in Product Ideas.

As we continue forming the future of Fixed Assets in Xero insights from Product Ideas here will feed into the team's plans.

Come on Xero. This is critical to a lot of your users. Unless it gets fixed I’ll need to move some of my clients to other accounting software solutions.

Partial Sale of assets is a must. I'd also like to see the ability to account for Fixed Assets for both Tax and Accounting purposes.

I need this as at present the email that accompanies a tax notice is addressed to Dear (Clientname) and needs to be manually overridden

Hi team! We're happy to announce that the ability to roll forward existing workpaper packs, URL's and Notes is coming with our new Xero Workpapers. This new solution leverages permanent documents, and has improved data preservation to help minimise the manual rework each year, and get a head start with rolling over key information from previous years.

We're planning ongoing enhancements to this new solution to ensure your workflow is robust and intuitive. We're starting release to our Australian partners now, and other regions will have access from early 2026. We'll keep you updated as the launch for this goes wider.

Document packs. Signers contact details and email addresses should be accessed from Contact details already stored for the client. At present they have to be located and copied manually when adding a signer to a document
