Hi everyone, we appreciate and want to thank everyone for feedback on the responsiveness of the new Homepage. This has been shared back with our product teams as they continue to develop this experience.

At this stage, there are no plans to fix the number of columns when using the Homepage. However, our team will continue to monitor usage on this closely.

One recent change we’ve introduced is that the Homepage layout can be saved at each screen size.

For example, if you set up and save the Homepage layout for your laptop and then move to a larger monitor you’ll see this adapt. However, if you ‘edit’ the Homepage and save the layout separately from your monitor Xero will remember the layout for each screen size. You should only need to do this once for each screen you use.

Thanks so much Andrew, you're doing outstanding work - I owe you a beer or five.

And Xero team, I apologize for my harsh words before - you know I love you, but my expectations are high for your outstanding product and this UX behavior is well beneath anything I've ever seen before (from you or anyone).

Compounding my frustration is that I first noted this issue in a product idea on December 15, and the only response has been that we can try painstakingly rebuilding our preferred layouts on various screen sizes and hoping that they're remembered (to say nothing of the fact that most of us just want to use one single layout, regardless of screen size).

I am always happy to do a screen-share to show what my day-to-day would look like without Andrew's wonderful workaround in place - I'd love for a designer to tell me if what I'm experiencing is actually considered an acceptable (let alone desirable) user experience from your team's standpoint.
