This can be easily done, if they just add more fields in the 'Find and recode' function. We should be able to bulk update references, Descriptions etc.

Hi everyone, we've been tracking this idea for some years now and truly value all the feedback we've heard on the desire and time saving reducing the manual steps in reconciliation
would achieve. We completely get wanting to skip that extra ‘OK’ click when you trust the suggested matches.
We’re excited to share that this idea is now in development. At Xerocon this year we shared automated bank reconciliation - Using JAX to automatically match and categorise your bank transactions with your Xero transactions.😊
It's in beta already and being tested by a small group of users atm, and as soon as we have more to share on this rolling out wider I'll give you another update here. Thanks again for helping us shape the future of Xero!

As someone who’s been using Xero for over 10 years, I’ve always appreciated its simplicity and reliability. But let’s face it, when you're dealing with high-volume reconciliations (think Stripe clearing accounts or cash control accounts with 500+ transactions/month), manually clicking “OK” for every item can be frustrating and incredibly time-consuming.
To tackle this inefficiency, we built a custom Chrome extension that enhances Xero’s native reconciliation functionality, and it's been a game-changer for our internal workflows and clients.

Hi Everyone,
I completely understand the challenge you're facing, having used Xero for over 10 years myself, I’ve always found it incredibly reliable and user-friendly. However, when it comes to reconciling transactions for cash control accounts or Stripe clearing accounts, especially with high transaction volumes (500+ per month in our case), the process of manually clicking "OK" for each one can be extremely tedious and time-consuming.
To address this gap, we’ve developed a custom Chrome extension that enhances Xero’s reconciliation functionality. This tool allows you to bulk reconcile transfers directly from the reconciliation screen. You can either:
Enter the name of a bank rule to reconcile only those matching transactions, or
Instantly reconcile all transactions on the page with just one click.
It’s a simple, efficient solution that saves hours of manual work.
