Hi Nic, thanks for sharing this idea. We can see how helpful it would be to paste invoice details straight from a spreadsheet. It'd make the process faster and easier, especially for longer invoices.
For now, one option is to use the Import feature. By pasting your spreadsheet data into Xero’s CSV template and uploading it, you can create invoices in bulk. It’s not quite direct copy-paste, but it’s a quicker way to handle larger invoices.
We’ve moved this idea to Gaining Support to understand how many of you would find this useful. If you can, let us know what tool you’re copying from and which columns you’d most want to include, your feedback will help guide what we look at next.

We are UK based and we're looking to switch from Cin7 (previously known as Dear Inventory) as it is simply too expensive for our needs with lots of options we don't use. We liked it as it allowed us to manage stock, adjust both quantity and/or value, add import landed costs to the product inventory value, create pick list style paperwork for the warehouse and delivery companies, mix both stock and non-stock items on sales orders and coped with recording advance deposit payments (prepayments) from our customers before they received the goods.
We would love to have Xero Inventory Plus in the UK. A rough timeline would be good as to when it will be available as we are currently deciding whether to move to another software package instead of Cin7 or wait for XIP.
