  1. As a Group Financial Administrator at an IT company operating in South Africa, I am writing to request the expansion of Xero Inventory Plus to regions outside the US.

    Our business relies heavily on accurate, real-time inventory tracking across multiple locations, and we currently face limitations due to the unavailability of Inventory Plus in our region.

    Suggested Features to Prioritize:

    1. FIFO and batch/serial tracking
    2. Multi-location inventory management
    3. Barcode scanning and sticker generation
    4. Real-time inventory valuation and reporting

  2. That would be great to make the Contact group field visible on the Bills to Pay screen to let us filter to certain contact groups when we are preparing a payment file.

    We use the contact groups for example to mark suppliers that are paid by Direct Debit, so this would be a useful feature to filter them out and do not pick their invoices up for a BACS payment.

    We also have another group of suppliers within the contact groups that we pay at once on the same day of each month so we would be able to easily…

  3. MY e-invoicing requires a tracking category in Xero. As we have clients which requires 2 tracking categories for their businesses, it is impossible to free up 1 tracking category for e-invoicing. Please look into this matter by considering adding a new tracking specific for e-invoicing.

    Hi team, we appreciate the appetite in this idea for being able to add more tracking categories to suit the needs of eInvioicing in Malaysia. We want to be open that while we have improvements planned for eInvoicing in Malaysia, increasing tracking categories isn't in our plans right now.

    I understand some in the conversation here may already be doing this however to highlight for others - Right now, if you use a Tracking category for this purpose you can also look to add a default tracking to a contacts record which may help with auto assigning these codes for customers you trade with frequently.

    We will continue to watch the interest through this idea closely, and share if there are any updates.

  4. Navigation. Wouldn't it make life easier when paying bills if you could create a batch and then go directly back to the Purchases Overview to create the next one. At the moment it's Create a Batch Payment then > Purchases > Bills. Repeat the process.

    Thanks for your idea, Karen. Understand how this would improve efficiency if you regularly create multiple batches in your workflow. We'll get a sense of the wider community interest in this from your idea here.

  5. Could you have an 'upload supplier credit notes' button, the same as you do for supplier invoices, because at the moment you have to enter any credit notes manually, and of course if you accidentally upload them under the supplier invoice button they appear as invoices and not credits!

    In the meantime, it's possible to bulk import credit notes using a CSV file, but not via this feature.

  6. New Bill Button - Please bring back the single click New Bill button. Anywhere I click on the New Bill button gives me a dropdown menu, requiring mouse movement and a second click. I would expect this to function in the same way as the new invoice button where you can click on the button to generate a new bill or you can click on the arrow down to see the dropdown menu. Bring back the single click efficiency.

    Thanks for your feedback on this change, Patricia. Out of interest is there a particular reason or workflow for why you prefer to enter your bills manually rather than via an upload?

    Appreciate, will take a little getting used to a different flow. A couple of other options for navigating to the new bill screen could also be;

    • Using the keyboard shortcuts (Alt+Shift+N) from the bills screen
    • Using the '+' icon in the navigation header to quickly Create a new Bill from any screen
    • Using '/' and typing 'b' in the global search where you'll get the option of New bill from any screen

    While we'll get a sense of interest in this through your idea, we want to be open that there aren't any plans for changing this back.

  7. When entering or editing a bill I need to be able to enter and see the account code. At present, you can only see the account name.

  8. The functionality to be able to raise and approve a Purchase Order which, at the point of approval, would create a double entry in the general ledger. Specifically:

    • Debit a Work in Progress (WIP) expenses account (to reflect anticipated expenditure),

    • Credit a creditors account (to reflect the anticipated liability).

    This would allow the PO to reflect a commitment in the accounts, enabling better management of Work In Progress and projected costs before the supplier invoice arrives.

    In an ideal world, to be able to allocate the PO to a Xero Project, so that WIP and anticipated costs appear…

  9. Bills are listed as 'duplicate' even tho they are monthly recurring bills so even tho the amounts are the same, the dates are different. Is there any way of these monthly bills not being listed as 'duplicate'. wastes a lot of time checking.

  10. ⭐Description:

    In the previous version of Xero, after we clicked Copy PO → Bill, the system would first open the draft bill screen, allowing us to:

    review the details

    edit the invoice number

    adjust line items if needed

    and then submit the bill for approval

    This workflow was very efficient, especially for businesses handling a high volume of purchase orders.

    However, after the recent Xero update, when we use Copy PO → Bill, the system now:

    immediately marks the PO as PO – Billed,

    automatically creates the draft bill in the background,

    and does not open the draft bill screen…

  12. You have today added a great new feature - the ability to upload Accounts Payable invoices to generate the Draft transaction.

    Can I suggest that you have a look at the options available after the invoice has been approved, to then quickly navigate back to the Draft Bills.

    This is because it's likely that we upload in batches then approve, however to navigate back to Draft to pick up the next invoice takes quite a few steps!

  15. invoice email template options for placeholders allow for the 'reference' placeholder to be inserted.

    This needs to be available to be inserted into the remittance email template.

    As the placeholder exists, can it be allowed to the dropdown for remittance?

    Hi christine, is this a common situation you find yourself or business running into? It'd be good to understand more detail if there are common circumstances that lead you to needing to edit a batch payment after it's been created.

  18. Please show the sales tax amounts that will be posted to each account (GST and RST) separately so we can reconcile to the receipt that is calculating properly. It would also be nice if we could manually override this amount as sometimes there is a small rounding difference. I am attaching an example from QBO. Please update your system to also have this functionality.

    Hi team, we appreciate the interest in being able to add a planned date when entering a bill in Xero. While this isn't in our immediate plans our team are aware and keeping a close eye of the support for this idea.

    While this isn't currently possible when manually entering bills I wanted to highlight our new Quick view and edit feature - If you upload or email bills to create drafts in your organisation you'll find you can use the quick view option to easily add a planned date.

    If you don't have the edit option in your bills just yet, this feature is in the process of rolling out and should be with all customers soon. 😊

  20. On the make payments page of batch payments allow for a split screen so you can review submitted invoices to either check bank account details or add bank account details of new contacts without having to jump between pages/screens.
