Yes please, this is also an issue in the UK. Staff are being paid less than they are due as Xero calculates back from an average monthly hours and takes off the unpaid element first - this is incorrect it should do the paid hours first,

I have worked out how to split out the salary into different departments (create a new earnings pay item and then on the employee information go to custom and change regular earnings to the new one at the bottom of the tab) also the pensions by updating the pay item with a new one then update the pay template with different pay items.

I have been unable to do this with the ERNI so I still have to create a manual journal each month for this. Please can you update this in a similar way so we can allocate the ERNI to different departments

Hi everyone, while not directly from an employee's record it's possible to view an employees payslip without having to download it. If you select Pay employees from the Payroll menu, choose the required pay run you'll be able to click View Reports where you can choose the 'Payslips' option.

From here you can see the payslips for all employees in that pay period.

We don't have direct plans for adding this capability from within an employee's record atm, but we'll track the interest of this here and let you know if any change is planned.

We have this in the UK with payroll but it does not correctly calculate the hours to pay when unpaid leave is taken or if the beginning/end of the month is a non working day or weekend and there has been a change Xero doesn't pay the employee for the full month. This means we have to do manual adjustments (if we spot it is wrong) See help desk call CX0016738686 - Xero does not calculate the employee pay correctly. Hopefully they are fixing this so it works correctly for you.
