Hi all 👋 thanks for sharing this idea and contributing your feedback on how it would help save time and reduce delivery errors. This has all been sent to and considered by our product teams.
I wanted to jump in here to share that this is a feature that our team are looking to develop in Purchase Orders in the long term - there are a few other pieces of work lined up before. We'll shift to Under review and keep you updated of any progress, here.
In the meantime, one way to make the physical address the default delivery address when creating purchases orders is by using a Custom DOCX branding theme, and either use the relevant merge fields, or even enter the default address in plain text on the template. Hi community, we totally get why you'd like to easily track partially received goods or services against a single purchase order, and to see the remaining balance within Xero.
With the new Purchase orders experience that’ll be coming soon, our team has paid close attention to the flows and different needs in managing supplier goods that have been expressed through product ideas.
Our team is looking to solve needs for tracking partial amounts received, so we’ll keep you updated of progress surrounding this here. 🙂

Hi team, thank you for the input from you all that helped with our team's research.
Over the coming months we'll be delivering a new purchase orders experience, that'll provide the ground work for new features like the ability to create part bills from a Purchase order.
We understand the appetite from our community in this and will be sure to keep you looped in on progress. 🙂

I am using Xero as a trial at present and I agree the purchase orders function needs attention. When you get a bill for a part delivery and copy to draft keeping the original purchase order intact, you are left with the full purchase order amount and goods, which is does not reflect the true future cost and goods awaiting. I hope Xero looks into this as soon as possible, I think Sage has this feature which works well. . . . .
