Hi everyone, thanks for continuing to share your feedback and explain how important it is to be able to add dates to individual line items on invoices.
While this specific idea isn't directly in our pipeline at present, we're looking more broadly at how we may extend documents to better suit more of our customers' needs. We'll be taking this idea into close consideration as part of that work.
For now, as noted in my last update the best option to accommodate this in lieu of a direct field is to add the detail to the Description field of the line.
If there's any progress, we'll be sure to let you all know here.

Hi everyone, we appreciate all contributions and votes this idea has received overtime.
There are a few different features we'd like to highlight that can aid in the entry of a lot of transaction entry and solve for many of the needs here.
- Non tracked inventory can be used as a means to save details for items you regularly purchase or sell and reduce the need to repetitively enter information such as Description, Price and Account
- Contact defaults can additionally save time from having to enter or update account, and tracking options of your lines
- Add contacts last items from the previous transaction you entered for them if you have contacts you regularly purchase or sell the same items
- NEW drag & drop contents of a field up or down the column - hovering over a field you can click and drag from the dot in the bottom right corner…

Hey community, thanks for your continued interest and feedback. Just wanted to pop in here to share that in current state you could include the Delivery Date in the Description field for each line on the purchase order, and this will appear on the order your supplier receives.
However, if anything changes in this space, we’ll update you on this idea!

This is a show-stopper for me, previous invoicing software I've used, many different pieces of software, have always had dates for line items - it's virtually essential on monthly/periodic billing for service industries, as the date delivered is a key piece of information. Including it in the description is completely inappropriate and breaks searchability, as it needs to be accessible via the API or exports as an absolutely key data field of the invoice line. No Xero for my organisation until this is added.
