    Hi everyone, thank you for continuing to share your feedback on invoice subtotals.

    We know this is a feature many of you feel strongly about, and we genuinely appreciate the time you’ve taken to explain the impact on your workflows.

    While this idea has been closely considered by our product teams we want to be upfront that at this point we don't have any foreseeable plans for developing the ability to add subtotals in invoices.

    As previously shared current options that you may want to explore include;

    • adding a description only line for each section where you can reference and explain the subtotals for a section of lines (leaving the Qty & Price blank),
    • exporting the invoice as a PDF and editing it externally, or
    • exploring invoicing tools in the Xero App Store that offer more extensive services

    We know these aren’t ideal substitutes, but they may help bridge the…

    I just moved our accounts from QB to XERO and the team are unhappy with a few features - one being no ability to create a row on an invoice or credit note, which behaves as a sub total. This feature does not exist on XERO. But as it does on QB. Therefore a feature gap, which should be resolvable??? XERO - Are there any plans to add such a tool?

    Appreciate the interest in being able to search by description. While we're attentive to your feedback, I want to be open that we don't have any immediate plans for developing this atm. 

    We're staying close to feedback on how we can improve navigation for our customers when using Xero, and I'll let you know if there is any development planned surrounding this, here. Thanks

    I just moved our accounts from QB to XERO and the team are unhappy with a few features - one being no ability to Keyword search the whole of XERO as one can with QB. the team regularly have to search within the details of an invoice/credit note etc. as well as the documnet details (client, inv #, total etc). This feature does not exist on XERO. But as it does on QB. Therefore a feature gap, which should be resolvable??? XERO - Are there any plans to add such a tool?
