Hi everyone 👋 we know managing and reviewing employee timesheets is a big part of your week. We’re working to make this easier for you in Xero Payroll.
We’re updating the timesheet admin experience, including a new timesheet list and a redesigned details view to help you find what you need faster.
Join our early access program
We’d love your help to shape these improvements. We’re looking for customers who manage or approve employee timesheets to join an early access program. You’ll try the new interface and give feedback directly to our team.
What you can expect:
- Easier admin tasks: Navigate your list and details views faster (this only impacts admins, so there’s no change for employees)

Super critical to have start and end times on timesheets. With the option to show the team have stayed back over their ordinary hours so the rest of the time should be TOIL.
I'd love to be able to make a saved schedule that shows up for the team each week that they can adjust if they work overtime OR call in sick.
example: contact of 24 hours a week. This would be 6.5 TOIL ontop.
Schedule Monday 8-4:30 (30 mins break) = 8 hours
Actual: 8-4:30 (30 mins break) = 8 hours
Schedule Tuesday 0:00
Schedule Wednesday 8-4:30 (30 mins break) = 8 hours
Actual: 8-4:30 (30 mins break) = 8 hours
Schedule Thursday 0:00
Actual: 9-2 = 5 hours TOIL
Schedule: Friday 8-4:30 (30 mins break) = 8 hours
Actual: 8-6 (30 mins break) 8 hours ordinary 1.5 earnt TOIL.
