Hi everyone 👋 we know managing and reviewing employee timesheets is a big part of your week. We’re working to make this easier for you in Xero Payroll.

We’re updating the timesheet admin experience, including a new timesheet list and a redesigned details view to help you find what you need faster.

Join our early access program

We’d love your help to shape these improvements. We’re looking for customers who manage or approve employee timesheets to join an early access program. You’ll try the new interface and give feedback directly to our team.

What you can expect:

  • Easier admin tasks: Navigate your list and details views faster (this only impacts admins, so there’s no change for employees)
  • Early access: Try these updates before they’re available to everyone
  • Quick feedback: Help us fine-tune the final product by taking short surveys within the new screens

    Super critical to have start and end times on timesheets. With the option to show the team have stayed back over their ordinary hours so the rest of the time should be TOIL.

    I'd love to be able to make a saved schedule that shows up for the team each week that they can adjust if they work overtime OR call in sick.
    example: contact of 24 hours a week. This would be 6.5 TOIL ontop.

    Schedule Monday 8-4:30 (30 mins break) = 8 hours
    Actual: 8-4:30 (30 mins break) = 8 hours

    Schedule Tuesday 0:00

    Schedule Wednesday 8-4:30 (30 mins break) = 8 hours
    Actual: 8-4:30 (30 mins break) = 8 hours

    Schedule Thursday 0:00
    Actual: 9-2 = 5 hours TOIL

    Schedule: Friday 8-4:30 (30 mins break) = 8 hours
    Actual: 8-6 (30 mins break) 8 hours ordinary 1.5 earnt TOIL.

    Would love to be able to enter start and finish times with timesheets on web version. Don't understand why it is only available through XeroMe for Staff when sometimes we don't want to grant them that access and prefer to enter ourselves

    Would love to have start and finish times with timesheets for staff with breaks as per the award requirements. Staff do not know how to navigate the app and it should be auto

    Please to add to start/end/break time on web browser. It is so ******* my mobile apps for xero me.

    Surely if it's available on Xero Me it can also be made available on the browser too! Please xero, this would save so much time having to manually calculate total hours. I have so many 'old-school' clients that just don't want to move their staff over to the app, instead they give me a pile of handwritten sheets with time entries and breaks to transfer to Xero. Pleasssse!

    There is no functionality to retroactively add or edit break times into an employees submitted timesheet. It would be good to be able to edit or add a break time on the timesheet if they forget before approving it.
