Thanks for feeding back on the Client search, Carey. The way that search works for the new client list experience is a little different to the older experience, and partial matching is not a feature with this new search.

While it's not in our roadmap atm, our team are keen to stay close the support this idea receives and will consider in future planning. I'll share if there are any updates here.

The removal of partial matching in the Partner Hub client search functionality is a significant backward step in usability and efficiency.

Requiring users to know and enter the exact client name defeats the purpose of an effective search tool. In practice, client display names are not always known, may differ from the name a client commonly trades under, and many firms manage multiple clients with very similar names. Users often only have part of a name, a surname, or a keyword to work from when searching (especially if you have a client on the phone and trying to search their record).

Prior to this change, partial matching provided a fast(er) and intuitive way to locate clients. Its removal has and will continue to introduce unnecessary friction, increased search time, and created avoidable inefficiencies in day-to-day workflows. Rather than improving productivity, this change actively hinders it for all users of the platform.

Given the broader focus on efficiency and user experience improvements within the updated system, reinstating partial matching feels like a simple but critical fix. Search functionality should help users find information when they don't know the exact answer, not require perfect knowledge of how a client record is displayed before it can be found.

This issue has a direct impact on efficiency, user experience, and adoption. Restoring partial matching should be treated as a priority enhancement. the further comments
