Hi everyone, returning from my last update I wanted to confirm that we have released generative answers in Xero in app help for all customers.
We appreciate this isn't a direct live chat feature that is being asked for in this idea and will move the status back to Submitted, however we'd recommend giving this a try when you're next looking for an answer while working in Xero.
This feature takes into account what page you’re viewing, and the version of Xero you use, to do the best to ensure that the information provided is relevant to you.
Live chat is not something we have planned at this stage but if any steps are planned toward this, we'll let you know here.

I agree that AI-generated answers can help with simple questions, but they are not a replacement for real support when the issue needs context or proper investigation.
This is also why I find the approach taken by Zenylitics (https://zenylitics.com/) interesting. They focus on conversation intelligence by combining AI-based analysis with human review, rather than relying entirely on automated outputs. That kind of model makes much more sense for customer support, where understanding intent, sentiment, and the actual reason behind an interaction matters.
For support teams, the best approach is probably AI for speed and scale, with humans stepping in when context and judgment are needed.

Hi everyone, thanks for bumping this idea . We understand you’re looking for a more visible way to split bank transactions from the reconciliation screen, so you can break down a single transaction into multiple categories more easily.
Having the split option more accessible could help make reconciliation quicker and reduce the need to search through additional steps.
We’ll continue to keep track of this idea and gather feedback from the community.

Good point. Contractors often know what they earned from a job, but not what they actually kept after materials, fuel, subcontractors, tools, insurance, GST/HST, and taxes.
That is why clean records matter throughout the year, not only at tax time. I have seen Ontario contractors refer to https://theacctaxco.com/accountant-for-contractors/ when they need help with bookkeeping, CRA letters, GST/HST filing, payroll, and contractor tax records.
It is a useful resource for contractors who want their numbers organized before year-end becomes stressful.
Having rental income, agent fees, and landlord expenses captured from one statement would make the workflow much cleaner, especially for properties managed through an agent. Splitting the same statement across multiple entries can easily create extra reconciliation work.
I’ve seen a similar focus on simplifying housing and rental decisions through MilHousing Network. They bring together housing, rental, buying, selling, and relocation guidance for military families in one place. I like the same underlying idea here: keep related information connected so property owners can understand the full picture without jumping between multiple sources. you can visit to know more here https://milhousingnetwork.com/
