Thanks for sharing how you'd like to see the recent feature we've introduced in invoices expanded to quotes, Jonathan. Understand wanting more control and professionalism of transactions you're sending from Xero.
We'll be sure to share if there are plans made to implement this feature for quotes too.

Hi everyone, thanks for continuing to share the details behind your workflows here. We wanted to return with a meaningful step forward for this idea. As some users may have seen, we’ve released the ability to request a Deposit in Xero!
Enveloped in this we recently made an improvement to this so businesses can now set a specific due date when creating a new deposit, and that due date is shown clearly on the deposit request your customer receives.
We appreciate this doesn’t yet deliver the fuller outcome many of you describe here, such as multiple due dates across a full invoice, broader instalment-style payment schedules, or trade-term arrangements on a single invoice. But it's progress in this space.
I’ll be back to confirm once Deposits is completely released to all markets and share how we plan to evolve this further.

Many businesses—especially project‑based ones—bill clients across multiple payment milestones. While the new deposit feature in Xero is helpful, it doesn’t fully support workflows where several scheduled draws need to be clearly outlined, tracked, and invoiced over the life of a project.
A draw‑schedule feature would allow us to set predefined milestones (e.g., deposit, design phase, construction start, mid‑project, final payment) directly within an invoice or project. This would streamline billing, reduce manual tracking, and improve clarity for both us and our clients.
This enhancement would significantly improve invoicing accuracy and efficiency for businesses that rely on structured payment schedules.

Hi Xero team,
We'd love the option to schedule quotes to send at a later date and time.
As a small business owner, I often finish quotes late in the evening after job site hours. I don't want clients receiving quotes at 11 PM, since it doesn't look professional and can set the wrong expectation about my availability. Right now my only options are to send it late or remember to come back and send it the next morning, which is easy to forget.
It would be helpful to have a "Schedule Send" option on quotes (and invoices) that lets me:
- Pick a specific date and time to send
- Choose a quick option like "Tomorrow at 8 AM"
- See and edit scheduled quotes before they go out
Gmail and Outlook already offer this, and it would make Xero's quoting workflow much smoother for contractors and service businesses who do their admin after hours.
Thank you for considering it.
