    Thank you for your feedback on this idea. To account for differing regulations and payroll features across regions we’ve split this idea into separate threads for AU, NZ, and UK.

    We also wanted to highlight a related feature recently delivered: Payroll admins can now see an estimated leave balance when adding or approving future leave requests. The workflow prompts you if a request might result in a negative balance.

    That said, we recognise there is a gap regarding the ability to set hard limits on how far negative a balance can go. While we understand how useful this control would be, setting specific negative leave limits is not on our immediate roadmap.

    We’ll continue to monitor interest here and update this post if there is movement.

    Can you please add an alert/highlight negative leave in the payroll processing step? This is the final check and if other people or third party apps have approved leave incorrectly it should be flagged here for review before payroll is finalised
