  1. Better documentation for BankAccountNumber needed.

    The documentation for importing contacts is not clear, specifically how to include banking details.

    First time users, such as myself, could be greatly assisted if the documentation for the BankAccountNumber was described as <bsb><space><account number>.

    I did a large number of documentation and Google searches before it clicked that the BSB and account number are both specified in the BankAccountNumber field. This is not obvious.

  2. I would like to see the specifics of the contacts activity on the main page of the contact. Currently you need to click on each transaction to see where the transaction was allocated. It would be nice to see it all on one page. It would be helpful if it was editable from that page as well. Instead you have to click again to edit the transaction. Currently in Quickbooks you can view/edit from the main client screen. I always appreciate less clicks. :D

  3. Ability to block Quotes being raised/sent if a customer has reached its credit limit. Another tick box like the one for Invoices except this is for Quotes.

  4. I am looking to have the cost price included in the Inventory item details report even though the item is not tracked.
    We sell a service and we cannot track the item as there is no amount to it.
    But when running the report the cost price does not show

Currently this badge is displayed for the additional people only when there's at least a first name associated with them, but often our "additional people" are only email addresses with no first/last names, an the only way to see whether the "included in emails" option has been enabled for them is to enter two nested edit modes (4 clicks total). This is really unnecessary. Just display the badge if the box has been checked!

  6. Our contact cards are set up automatically through an API directly from our billing systems (we have multiple systems that are all coded differently). Fields like currency and branding are not updated with this link; therefore, the fields default to our Xero account settings. We want to export the contact card list with these fields to identify the clients with information that needs updating, to then fix and import in one step instead of updating each card.

  8. it would be great if there was a tick box for being to select if a contact wants to be excluded from marketing contact. if there was a tick box, it would be handy to be able to generate a report showing those who you can contact and those who have opted out, and being able to export that data to excel. i know xero is a finance platform rather then a direct crm however it just seems that for small businesses especially this would be a great tool and as xero does generate reports and exports to excel anyway…

    It would be great if we could get reminders for customers and suppliers birthdays, this is great for customer relations. Also a reminder for certain documents that might expire at a certain time.

  10. In the settings for Included in emails be able to specify which emails. For instance you have two people who receive and approve quotes. You don't want to send quotes to the account that processes invoices. The account that processes invoices only wants invoices and the people who approved the quotes don't necessarily want to be copied in on the invoices.
    I imagine this would be a tick bock for Quote, Invoice, Credit, Purchase order, Bill, next to each include in setting.

  11. Needs 'Are you sure' pop up for Deleting Contact Files

    Its too easy to accidentally delete a file attached to a Contact. Needs to be an 'Are you sure you want to delete ...' pop up when deleting.
    Especially as it also doesn't populate in the history/notes section that anything has been deleted.

  12. it would be great to be able to have multiple reference numbers for one contact, so that way if you have multiple jobs for one company, it can be under the same name. instead of having to make up multiple contacts for the same person.

  14. After reporting a bug (can no longer preview contact files) I was given the following response :

    "As you’ve found, right now it’s not possible to preview contact files anymore. You can however, download it and view it instead.
    I’ve included a link to Xero Product Ideas where you can view and support current ideas or create a new one to share your thoughts."

    When something breaks you fix it. You DO NOT pretend that fixing it is a "New Feature" - that then needs requested and voted on.

  15. When you invoice a new customer you get the option of "Add address" which is great to quick add their email address and postal address. Can this also include adding the phone number? Currently the only way to add the phone number is to go into contacts and add it that way but to me it is a much more important detail than postal address. If I need to chase up anything to do with the invoice i don't send the customer a letter, i call them so i do need to input their phone number and just want a…

  17. You are currently unable to see the projects within the contacts tab against a contact within Xero.
    This would be really helpful as I have some customers that have several projects on the go at one time. This would make it easier to go from one project to another for one client. It would also be a quick reference location. The added quotes, invoices and credit notes added to the contact has been a great step in simplifying contact management - the project listing would complete the loop.

  18. Changes to Xero that have not improved the program

    How do I upload files from Xero Files (documents scanned to Xero etc) to my client it no longer allows this - previously you could access either Xerol Files or your own files from your drive - am I missing something ? Also you can no longer just print invoices you have to download them _ why this is a total pain - the joy of Xero was always click and print or email ??? Please put it back many thanks Kate Milne long time user and Xero fan!!!!

  19. Some purchase contacts have requested that invoices be sent to an accounts email while statements are to be sent to a different email address, both of which are different from the person who is the actual primary contact. It would be advantageous for Xero to incorporate this to allow for the invoices and statements to be sent to the correct emails without the necessity of sending every document to the primary contact or to each other which is not required or desired.

  20. Right now, we see average days we pay or receive payment. It would be good if we can have another row that shows us the payment terms we have with the contact so we can benchmark against performance that way. The data is already in Xero, just need to show it.
