Sales invoices - Apply base discount to all invoices

Currently there is the option to apply discounts at a customer or inventory item level. Once set this discount will be applied each time they're used in your sales invoices - This might help streamline your discounts when working in Xero.
Keeping each thread to one idea means others in community clearly understand what they're supporting as well as when sharing the support back with our teams here at Xero.

Sales invoice - Auto fill sales person
Option to Auto Fill Account, Tax Rate, Sales person for all rows. It gets quite time consuming to manually add for each line (even if it is a button at the top of the fields allowing auto fill of all, that would greatly help)

While not possible to set a default for all invoices you might find adding defaults for contacts useful when entering your invoices here?

Barbados | Annual Tax Reporting - Contractors & Miscellaneous Suppliers
In Barbados, we must annually provide a Goods and Services report to the Barbados Revenue Authority. This is similar to the US 1099 vendor reporting requirements. How can we achieve this using Xero? It is a requirement for all of my clients but more importantly. In Canada this a T4A Statement of Pension, Retirement, Annuity, and Other Income.
The easy solution is adding the Tax ID as a field in the Payable Invoice Detail & Summary reports. Once you summarize by contact to produces the required information, regardless of tax jurisdiction.

Invoicing: Create invoices directly from a receive money transaction
Although a prepayment in a receive money transaction is given an invoice number this is a reference, NOT an actual invoice.
A prepayment will show as outstanding until it is allocated to an invoice or refunded. This means that you have to go the "create invoice" route.
It would save time to be able to create an invoice for a receive money transaction that will then be automatically reconciled to the money received and reflect on the customer statement. This is especially useful for incidental monies received eg concert tickets, fun day tickets etc

Reporting | Edit layout - Adding note reference to total row
There should be the capability to add a note number to a row with a total balance in the financial statements in the "Edit layout" screen.

Reporting: Breakdown reports to a monthly basis
It would be nice to have a simple option to show any report that is run by month. So for example if you run a P&L report for 1st of Jan to 30 June at the moment you get a total for the period by default. Once the time frame is selected an option to then see the time frame by month would be helpful

While maybe not the flow you're searching for here this is possible with the use of 'Compare with' periods - So, instead of running the report for the whole period, select the latest month, then you can select the number of compare with periods as you'd like to see.

Profit & Loss - Add a chart (like Income & Expense reports)

In this 2022 Q4 update, it was nice to see the ability to show in chart the income and expenses by contact. It will be useful if Xero can have a chart for P&L. Users would like to see the distribution of income and/or expenses in chart format with the flexibility to show it by Categories or Groups.
Better if this can be inserted in the Monthly or Annual report under Notes or within the Analysis of revenue and/or expenses.

Xero Files: Ability to view email while viewing files in inbox
When viewing the contents of files in the inbox, I currently have to close the file in order to be able to open and view the text of the email that it was sent with. I would like the email text to be an optional sidebar when viewing the contents of the file, so that I can see both the contents of the file and the context of why it was sent and who by at the same time.

AU Tax: Pull GST owing from ATO portal mid-quarter
When Activity Statements are connected to the ATO, running the Activity Statement report shows no information throughout the quarter.
As we like to put aside GST through the quarter ready to pay at the BAS lodgement, we would like to see a running tally of outstanding amount owed to the ATO throughout the quarter whilst still connected to the ATO.1 vote -
Quotes: Ability to edit email addresses
Edit email address when sending a quote to clients. We have clients who have multiple employees requesting quotes, the updated version means I have type out the whole email address instead of amending the name at the start.

Reports: Superannuation and hours worked on Payment Summary Details report
Being a start-up company we claim R&D refund as part of our tax return. In order to support R&D activities we need to work out employee remuneration and hours to support our claims. Currently, Xero does not have any R&D reports that we can use. Hence, I am wondering whether the Tech team at Xero can include two fields (Column options) in the existing report "Payment Summary Details".
The fields required are 1) Superannuation 2) Units (worked hours)
Then we can export this report to work on our R&D claims. Thank you

Statement of Cashflows - Cash and cash equivalents
Tier 3 cash flow statement needs to refer to "bank accounts and cash" per XRB requirements not "cash and cash equivalents". Xero reports do not permit these line descriptions to be edited on their cash flow statement.

Contacts: Record Witholding Tax rate for suppliers that recieve schedular payments
In contacts, to be able to add a WHT record of the % to deduct from suppliers who are subject to IRD schedular payments tax deductions and for this to become a line item option in Bills.

Purchase Order: Ability to show both item codes and descriptions
When creating purchase orders, having a large list of products, we are finding it difficult to identify the items we want to select because only the item codes show without the item descriptions. (Both the item code and descriptions show when creating invoices and quotes). Would it be possible for the drop-down selections in the purchase orders to show both the item codes and the descriptions?

Xero Mobile App - Change the wording of 'Add receipt' to 'Add bill'
Change the wording "add receipt" on the Xero app.
Many clients use the Xero app and they go to add a new bill but they see the words add a receipt so they automatically think this is a bill so add here. It then creates payment files which I have to manually undo. Can the wording be changed to "add bill/ receipt" and "add receipt of payment" or something similar.

GST: Ability to record as GST Not Registered (GNR)
In MYOB it is possible to record transactions as GST Not Registered (GNR). This reports it and enables proper accounting of GST obligations when dealing with small suppliers that are not registered for GST. I can see why many companies don't like to deal with such suppliers ! I was hoping there was such a method in Xero

Reports: Display totals at top of receivable invoice reports
To be able to preset number items shown on page in customer invoice report.
So you don't need to scroll down each time you enter tab to see totals.

Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease can we edit this list.?!
Would save me typing everything on the tiny phone keyboard for every receipt. And correcting the errors that come with it.
Surely this would be an easy win as the words don't have to be associated with any particular account, etc? (Although that would be an amazing addition, eg I select "Fuel" from the drop down list and it automatically fills in the account I've specified for it, eg "076 - Van Fuel"
