  1. Would it be possible to have the option of jumping to the page a transaction is on, when searching through unreconciled transactions on the bank feed?
    For example, you find the transaction inthe search bar, but then you need to flip through (sometimes dozens) of pages on the bank reconciliation screen to find it, to reconcile it. Would be amazing if we could have a 'jump to this transaction page' option.

  3. Say I go to a supplier and make a cash purchase. I use my debit card and then walk out with goods and a receipt. Scanning the receipt to Xero and coding the purchase if easy but I am pretty slack and normally lose the receipt before I get to scan it. What say, the vendor scans a QR code that I carry containing my email/Xero info and this allows the vendor's system to email me the purchase document. No paper and I can code the purchase when I am at my PC later in the day. Also means I…

  5. Add a Pay-To Name that is different than the name of the Vendor. Explanation: I have a handful of Vendors who have hired out billing companies like Wells Fargo to handle their Accounts Receivable. In Xero I only get to name the Contact by the Pay-To Name which is very messy and meaningless when adding invoices and matching invoices to Vendors.For my business this is an urgent matter that needs to be addressed. *As a retailer, I only do accounts payable.

  6. I would like to be able to see net owing on my Dashboard. Not having the ability to see a separate net figures means that without calculating vat, I can never see the true position of the business finances.

  7. The new W-9 Request feature is nice. However, it would be even better if there was a way to send the request using the Organization's email address rather than the Bookkeeper's or Accountant's email address. Contractor's might disregard the email request if they don't know who the Bookkeeper or Accountant is and don't recognize the sender's email address.

    Hi Lara, while not a complete solution for what you're after as you still need to send from an external email provider - I wanted to share a recent update we've made so you can now link directly to your email client from the W-9 in both Contacts and 1099. We've also provided an email template which you can easily edit to adjust any details you'd prefer such as adding the organisation title. See more on this in our help.

  8. Suggest Bank rules. When Xero suggests a Contact & Account during the reconciliation we should also have an option to make that a rule so they can use it in cash coding as well. If that is not possible then have the suggested transactions auto fil on cash coding or have a check box like in the reconcile screen to show suggestions

  10. Find and recode should be able to search a date range by who has recently edited transactions within that date range (I.e User 1 edited 3 transactions between 1/7/22 - 30/6/23 on the following dates).

    I work on a file where several people attend to different parts of the bookkeeping process, so being able to see who has edited what transactions within a certain date range would be hugely helpful.

  11. Ability to link quote and invoice (not billing from the actual quote)
    We currently keeping time in Avaza and pulling time through on our invoices in Avaza into Xero. The actual time(our cost) is then shown in the Xero invoice which is changed to the invoice amount. I am trying to get to the ultimate spreadsheet - Quote (budget column) vs Actual cost (time) vs Invoiced amounts (this all has to be shown as the separate line items quoted)

  12. I use month by month P&L reports all the time and I manually add a total column. It would be great to be able to drill into the total amount for each category to review the expenses all at one time, rather than either having to generate a further account transactions report or drill into them month by month

  13. When adding a actual expense within a project it should open a spend money transaction in Xero and have the ability to save photo of the receipt as normal spend money. Or alternative within the XERO app be able to select a project when inputing a receipt, the current setup is double handeling because you purchase somthing and you have to enter it in xero then in the project.

When emailing bills to Xero as I am working from my email account and Xero at the same time, the page has to be refreshed by clicking into one of the other tab options all the time and back again. It would be great if there was a button that just said refresh so I am not wasting time jumping from drafts screen to one of the other tabs such as all and then back to the drafts.

    Additionally we process all of our invoices into draft format firstly. When doing this sometimes they are out of order. It would…

  15. I need to include a Cash Summary report and bank summary report in standard management reports.

    I need the Cash Summary report format - working capital with other cash movements. I never use the default report. It includes balance sheet items as expenses and has little meaning for the clients I have viewed this for.

    At the moment, this can only be done on an individual client level and laboriously. This is not viable for my office.

  16. We have spent a significant amount of time creating our financial statement templates using the report codes to ensure consistency and quality. Using Edit Layout can cause significant issues, including notes not matching the numbers in the balance sheet. As a result, we require the ability to remove access to the Edit Layout function for selected users.
    This is a significant quality and risk issue.

  17. Could you increase the size of the email statements UI - ie the dialogue box that opens when you email statements or activity and you can revise the template.
    The font is tiny and the window is also tiny.
    Or allow a zoom, or to enlarge the dialogue box.

  18. Subtotals for Balance Sheet Items
    At the moment I can only get subtotals on the balance sheet by using the grouping function. Rather than doing this it would be great to subtotal certain parts of the Balance Sheet without creating multiple group headings. eg Fixed Asset accounts & the accumulated depreciation for each asset.

  20. Add a function to allocate transactions in an account against each other so you can easily identify which transactions are making up the balance (e.g. in a PAYE you would allocate the payment to HMRC against the payroll journal).
