It would make sense if the payslip was sent out on the payment date entered for the Pay run. Massive inconvenience having to log back in on the day just to send them - especially if not working that day!

Running a small business you process the pay run when you can, and then having to email payslips at random, different times as we are not always here on pay day is really frustrating, and not consistent for our employees. Just a simple "email payslips on *** date" function would solve all this.

We run quite a lot of payrolls for different clients in xero so this would be so helpful. Anther bug bear is that once you've emailed the payslips out there is no audit trail, so there is no way to check if you've already sent them, or if someone else has already done it, or when they were sent. Not the end of the world if people get them twice but it would be nice to have that info in xero.

As others have said, having this feature added would be very very useful. The payroll is processed in advance but it is frustrating not to be able to schedule a date for sending out payslips. Sage has this functionality and I'm surprised Xero is unable to do this.

Tt would be really helpful if you could introduce a feature where we can schedule the payslip email to be sent to the employees in a particular day every month

because payroll is run 2 weeks before being paid it is important for me to be able to email out payslips on the pay run date so being able to schedule a date for emailing payslips as requested by my manager is very important

It would be useful if payslips could be scheduled to be posted to Xero Me on a date after the payroll is run. Eg you may run the payroll mid-month but want employees to be able to see their payslips on the date the payment is made at the end of the month.

The Sage payroll portal has functionality to have the payslips emailed to the employees (via link to their portal).

Considering Xero has the 'Xero Me' access, can Xero consider adding this functionality so when a pay run is complete and posted, the payslips are released to the employees automatically on the morning of the pay date so as to save outsourced payroll providers in practice (and also small business) from having to remember to log in and release them manually.

This is proving problematic when payroll staff are on annual leave during times when payslips of client companies should be released.

Yes... this! We have a few clients we run payrolls for and they want payslips emailed on payday rather than the day you run the payroll. This means currently you have to set a reminder to log back in and email the payslips. Would be great to be able to select a date when processing a payroll :)

Our pays are scheduled to go out on a specific day. Would like to be able to schedule the payslips to be emailed on the same day, not have to remember to do this manually.

It would be so useful if we could have the option of being able to schedule the payslips to be automatically emailed to employees on a specific day rather than having to manually do this.

This time of year we're all off on our hols. Would be great to schedule payslips to send on the day, or day before, rather than having to send a week or so in advance.

Please add this feature. It would be very useful for small businesses when payroll may be done in advance. Our bank allows the pay itself to be scheduled and having payslips go at the same time would be great.

I can't believe that this has not been added yet. All other Payroll programs I have used have had this feature

This is a horrible idea! When I create a payrun and post it (as you have to post it to get the ABA file), I then send it to my client to authorise before they pay it. Its super annoying as it is that employees can see their payslips before the payment date has occured!!! We loose our opportunity to fix up any errors and employees have access may have corrections and I have to field responses to employees who stick their noses in before we have actually finished.

Great idea. The delay can be critical as the clients are notified of the amounts to pay. When payslips are sent before the payment is made the employees expect the payment has already been made. Also, they can be scheduled so they do not hit the employee's mailbox in the middle of the night when we sometimes run pays.
