AU Payroll - Support for international SMS in Automatic Superannuation
Until this month, this was not an issue. However this month Xero has taken away the ability to send the superannuation SMS authorisation code to international numbers. What happens when you change a number or move overseas but still work for the company. Why take this away? Without discussion with your customers. If it's not broken, why is Xero trying to fix it?

I use my Australian number when holidaying overseas and in March wouldn't allow me to do my superannuation runs.
I will be going away for a few weeks next year and this needs to be done when I am overseas because it's on my phone -

I travel on holidays overseas and need to do payroll for my business and superannuation. I need to get my sms notification or find a way that it doesnt need to be done

Additionally:
1) The lack of notice is extremely unprofessional
2) The fact that they still allow you to enter a US phone number (which won't work) doesn't make any sense - they block entering a NON-mobile number in Australia, I presume for the same reason. This should not have passed QA

Same experience. Payroll is approved for Australia in the US, now we have to ask an employee to verify superannuation in order to do it.
This is just stupid and requires coordination across time zones on the other side of the world.

Yes. If Xero wants to be thought of as an international player , this is a must have. The lack of notice and removal of an important feature for me has resulted in me needing to retain an Australian phone number which costs me.
