Reporting - Ability to set a Default Date for reports

When using the old reports, when you opened them up they would show the current month. Now they show 12/31/22 which is useless now that we are into March. They should either default to prior month (which is what QBO does) or current month (which is what Xero used to do).

    When you log in you have an option to change the date view for the system. Default would be the current day - however you could change it to 31.12.25 which means that when preparing year end accounts it would make it simpler for running reports, making adjustments etc

    As an accountant who used MYOB before, I found it quite convenient and smart by automatically set the report period the same as the last report that I generated so I don't need to type 01/07/20xx to 30/06/20xx every time when I am working on end of year accounts.

    Ideally we could have a pre set "rolling 12mths" ie the 12mths prior to today.
    Or maybe another option for prior12 whole months

    This would be super helpful, the new reports feel like a step backwards at the minute, especially now the old ones have been permanently retired.

    This has been responded to to create a custom report, but this is not feasible with many clients and many reports. Please could you look into this? :)

    The ability to set a default date range for the tax report in Xero.

    Would love the option to have default to previous month. It's an annoyance to have to set the beginning and ending time each time the report is run.
