Budget - Enter budget as a yearly option
Quickbooks allows this: and 501c6 and 501c3 find this EXTREMELY useful. We don't budget by the month per se; we budget yearly.

I would Like the ability to simply add column on a custom income statement so that i could add my budget next to my cost codes (once organized by cost code)

We run an outdoor theatre which operates predominantly in the summer so a yearly budget is essential for us. We are also a very small organisation and entering monthly figures is very time consuming.

The lack of an annual budget option is a complete PITA. I would suggest that the majority of small businesses don't have the time (or the data) to do monthly budgets a year in advance. An Annual Budget where you can see roughly where you are through the year is a requirement that has been ignored for too long!

A Yearly budget would also be helpful for one of the entities I am involved in.

Truly, this seems like a no-brainer

We have projects that could last a number of years as we decide if they are viable and get them ready for sale. We need to know, at the outset, what spend we are likely to have on specific nominal codes. The spend comes in haphazardly but we still need to manage budget and spend. The option to add a budget figure in and refer back to that one, rather than month by month, is vital to our planning and success.

We are a charity running a Music Festival evey year in the last week in July. Monthly budgets are meaningless to us. When I was deciding to use Xero I was comparing to Kashflow who don't run a budget programme. I chose xero without realising that your programme doesn't suit our purposes. Surely installing an annual alternative should be relatively easy?
