Add a date picker under the "find and match" tab when reconciling bills.

A date filter for reconciliations would be extremely beneficial and would significantly improve usability and efficiency

The ability to filter by date would be very beneficial

This would be really useful as we have large payments to reconcile every day and to filter by date would help rather than having to search by every amount individually

When reconciling bills, add a search criteria of bill transaction date/due date.

I want to be able to search a wholesalers name and filter which month we received the bill so I can select that whole month of bills and reconcile to the payment. Rather than having to tick individual bills.

increase number of lines of transactions visible when reconciling the bank account as currently only 6 lines are visible which requires constant scrolling up and down to find the correct entries, even with filtering by supplier. A customer receipt can be entered with several lines and the lines cannot be filtered to just show receipts, it shows all the invoices outstanding too. As we issue hundreds of invoices, only seeing 6 lines means that it involves a lot of scrolling to find the relevant bank receipt entry and one bank receipt may have been split into several individual line transactions.

Id love it if in the bank reconciliation screen if there was a way to filter and only see all of the proposed matches that were found and ignore everything else.

Find & Match - Filters

The ability to filter through outstanding bills/invoices dates in Find & Match tab would assist with selecting bulk bills/invoices rather than having to scroll and select individual invoices under each date required . E.g. This would be really helpful for batch payments being made on termed accounts with multiple invoices each payment. The ability to also view an attachment from this tab rather than having to open an entirely new screen would be most helpful.

We get two deposits into our bank account daily from our card terminal provider (Adyen) and our invoices and payments from our practice management software (Provet) are automatically integrated into Xero. We reconcile the Adyen deposits with the relevant Provet payments and add the transaction fee for each deposits.

When we're reconciling under "1. Find & select matching transactions", it would be really helpful and save us lots of time if we could filter the transactions by date, and whether they are invoices or payments (as ideally I'd want to be able to filter to only the payments from the previous day and select all of them).

When I receive payment from my credit card account e.g. Windcave, that payment may include up to 100 customer invoices. The only way I can allocate the payment is to enter either a customer name, an invoice number or amount. This is very, very times consuming. If all of the invoices from my online store are issued with the same date at the Windcave payment, it would be much quicker to simply choose all of the invoices issued on the same date and allocate in bulk. There must be many, many Xero users that must spend a lot of time allocated these credit card receipts.

The recently added filter functionality on bank reconciliation was not what I was hoping for. Rather than filtering bank statement lines I want to be able to filter the transactions that I’m matching to it, by date.

When reconciling POS device daily receipts I can already filter for transactions with the right description but then I have to tick every transaction for the corresponding day. Then repeat for every day. If I could filter on date I could “select all” and match much more quickly. It’s currently extremely tedious!

Ability to order search results by date. When I search for an amount or contact and click on bank transactions it gives the results in a totally random order. I end up scrolling through pages and pages trying to pick out certain dates. Please can we have a filter or sort function. Or at least give the results in date order

In the bank reconciliation window, it would be really helpful if the "find and match" feature allowed searching by date range as well as name, reference and amount. This is particularly important where there are a high volume of individual payments of the same amount over a long period of time. This would speed up clean-up work significantly.

I need to reconcile multiple payments against a single payment physically received into the bank account (EFTPOS settlement). I would like to be able to search by date instead of "Search by name or reference / Search by amount". I know I can sort by date either ascending or descending, but it is no substitute as there is a limit of 50 transactions per page, and the function only sorts the current page of transactions, not all of them, so effectively has no use.

This suggestion got lost in the Bulk OK Reconciling idea, but this is more specific to matching a payment to multiple supplier invoices when reconciling said payment.

Each month, my client pays a couple of suppliers, a total of 10-20 invoices each.

To have the ability to enter a date range of invoices paid ie: all Feb 2023 invoices, in Xero when reconciling the payment, is a necessity - I'm not sure why it hasn't been thought of before.

Please Xero, add "select date range" filter to the Find & Match option - there's plenty of room in the "1. Find & select matching transactions" box, beside the "Search by name or reference" and "Search by amount" options.

It would be great if in the reconcile function you could filter out the transactions by date to find items you would like to reconcile easier if there are a lot.

Also would be good if tracking categories was part of this filter. Where tracking categories are used for example as trading entities it will help to ensure the correct invoice is reconciled if suppliers invoice for multiple entities.

This also needs an option to filter payment type so only Eftpos come up to filter out direct debits

This is the most time critical and time costly activity. This would streamline this slow activity tremendously
