When creating tasks in Projects, we are currently limited to 100 characters. Removing this limitation would be extremely beneficial. I frequently handle percentage billing for a client, and this process requires creating tasks for each billable line item when generating quotes.

Here’s the detailed process and the challenges faced due to the character limit:

1. Creating Quotes and Tasks:

   • For each quote, tasks need to be created for every billable line item.

2. Invoicing:

   • When it's time to create an invoice, I have to open the original estimate.
   • Each line item from the estimate must be copied and pasted into the invoice descriptions.

3. Adjusting Billing Percentages:

   • If the client requests a change in the billing percentage, the process becomes even more cumbersome:
     • The invoice needs to be deleted.
     • The task must be adjusted to reflect the correct percentage.
     • A new invoice is created.
     • All detailed descriptions must be copied and pasted back into the invoice.

This entire procedure is time-consuming, especially for long quotes with detailed scopes of work. Removing the character limit would significantly streamline these tasks, reducing the need for repetitive copying and pasting and minimizing the potential for errors.
