AU Payroll - Default Member Number for Employer Default Fund
Dear Xero Team,
I’d like to submit a request for an enhancement to Xero Payroll to improve the setup and management of default superannuation funds.
Currently, when adding a default fund in Xero, there is uncertainty around what should be entered in the Member Number field. We typically process super contributions through the ATO Portal, but we would love to have the ability to do this directly within Xero.
Specifically, we would like the ability to:
Add a Default Fund chosen by the employer.
Assign employees who do not have an existing super fund to this default fund.
Have a system-generated Member Number or a default placeholder that indicates to the super fund that a new member needs to be set up.
With Pay Day Super coming into effect next year, this functionality would significantly streamline payroll processes and ensure compliance with superannuation obligations.
Could this functionality be introduced in a future update? We believe it would provide great value to businesses using Xero Payroll.
