  1. Customer Statements - Would be good if customer statements could include a prepayment balance somewhere on the statement. My client receives a lot of prepayments and would like customers to be able to see at a glance their remaining credit.

  2. Update the search box to allow for search phrases to rank within the search box...not just exact matches. it's not particularly beneficial for a search query to result ONLY the exact match if you're searching for a match and probably don't know the exact phrase for a contact/business/customer.

    For example,

    "Jack Jones" produces no results when the contact is actually "John Jones".

    Searching "Jack Jones" should produce a result with all contacts that include either "jack" or "jones". Producing no results is not an accurate representation of the total database.

  3. Allow autopay to be applied to a group of recurring invoices, rather than having to enable it on individual invoices. This would be useful for turning Autopay on for a number of invoices for the same customer or turning it on for a number of invoices for different customers.

  4. I propose an update to the formatting of the cheque stubs so that summarize the list of bills that are being paid by cheque on the stub, not the individual line items.

    I have a client that owns 12 franchise restaurants. Some of the bills that are received have to be split 12 ways. if multiple bills are received, we're looking at that many more lines on the stub. Can we please update the format of the stub to summarize the bills that are being paid to avoid confusion for vendors?

    The attached stub is a payment for 3 bills.

  5. We use Analytics Plus Short-term cash flow projection, and it is great.

    Given the GST returns are generated through the information entered into Xero (Bills & Invoices etc.), and the payment date also known, is it possible to incorporate a prediction of the future GST payment?

  6. Attaching a file from the Xero Library to the new Sales Invoice template. Files saved to a folder within the Xero library now show ALL files rather than just the ones unattached, so you have to sort through all of them until you find the file you need (the attached ones were not shown in old invoicing). This is taking longer to process.
    I do sort the files in submission date order, but when you have up to 50 per month submitted it takes a while to scroll through the already attached pdfs.

  7. For those of us that have multiple entities in Xero - Somewhere along the way an extra step (click) has been added when changing from one entity to another, you can no longer just choose your required entity from the drop-down menu (in the top left-hand corner), but now have to click on the drop-down menu and then click 'Change organisation' to show and select your entity.

    Are we able to remove this unneccessary extra step (click) and have it back how it was originally?

  9. To attach proof/evidence of multi receipts/payments when that batch is a mix of invoice and also pre/overpayment, credit. We can attach to a single type of action, but not mixed. Keeps things tidy and also much quicker to see what exactly was in a batch, than to go back to a physical document holder

  10. It would streamline workflow if there was a feature that allowed us to store a client's credit card on file and when a single invoice is sent out to the client, the business can charge the card on file.

    In previous invoicing systems, I was able to "store" a client's credit card on file and then invoice and charge the credit card on file. This is an important feature for my business as it removes the burden off my clients for paying the invoice and reduces the amount of follow up on my end for collecting payment.

  11. In invoice reminders you do not have the option to add the original invoice as a PDF. My customers accounting teams do NOT follow links in emails (against security policy), but can read an attachment (as long as it is PDF). I would like this added as an option on invoice reminders.

  13. I generate a custom report for Project Timesheets and I would like to be able to rename the columns as sometimes we use slightly different terminology or we use the tasks in a slightly different way to work around limitations.

    e.g "Resource" instead of "Staff", "Role" instead of "Task".

    For some projects we enter a week's worth of time entries at a time, so they are dated at the end of the week, so I would like to change the column to "Week ending" instead of "Date".

  14. Increase the character limit for invoice and quote terms for the standard invoice template.
    Currently the limit is 1000 characters and that is not enough. Please please look into this! It is so important to be able to have terms in the body of the invoice and very useful to be able to use the terms section for this.

  15. This is basic, if you want people to move to XERO make it easy to import data from existing systems. I have a huge amount of expenses to get into XERO and you can't use Bills because that is limited to 5 Bills per month!

    I pay for expenses so if the work around is use Bills import then remove the 5 Bill/m limit.

  16. Thanks for fixing Over payments in the new system - works great! - 1 adjustment - the account menu pops - UP not Down, and bank accounts are off the top of the screen need a lot of scolling, can you change to normal pop-down please? (like the Date Paid menu)

  17. Is there a way that within Xero Projects, we could have a field for "Project Number" and a seperate field for "Project Name".
    Unfortunately we have found that some duplication of project numbers can happen within Xero as the project name and project number are within the same field.

  18. I have noticed that when you are preparing to send an invoice via email in Xero that you can now add new addresses in the TO, CC and BCC lines. This is great.

    However, I have noticed that ALL contacts are available to add here. It would be safer to only allow the contact email addresses associated with the contact name on the invoice. It is too easy to add the wrong address and potentially send invoice information to the wrong client.

    If other people needed to do this, perhaps a tick box could be applied to allow ALL CONTACTS…

  19. I have to create a biill with about 60 line items which contain a mix of duplicate and variable information. As there's no way to duplicate line items in bills, I employed a workaround by exporting Xero's inbuilt bills template file 'BillTemplate.csv'. In Excel I was then able to quickly and easily create 60 copies of the same line item, make the changes necessary and import the csv file into Xero which successfully created the bill containing the 60 line items - thus saving me hours of wasted time.

  20. Being able to see a map with the location pins for each customer and sort them by the various Xero groups, would be invaluable. This would enable us to easily visualise our national/global coverage to help better understand regional product usage. As a business that provides products to public locations, it would also be an efficient way to reference existing installations near to new enquiries for them to reference.
