Projects - Create a report that includes a breakdown of suppliers invoices
Looking for a report under a project where I can have a breakdown of all invoices with dates and gross total paid for a specific supplier - I've been told this is not available and yet all the information is in the system but no report available

CIS - File for overpayments allocated to a CIS invoice
Yes that's right. Let's say you pay a subby £150 in advance and allocate that as an overpayment on their account from the bank feed. You then get an invoice from them a couple of weeks later for £500 and deduct CIS of £100 leaving £400 outstanding. You allocate the overpayment from the account of £150 and pay your subby the balance of £250. The system will only declare CIS on the £250 element of what you have paid. You have to know an overpayment has been allocated, reverse it and allocate the payment directly to the invoice for it…

Dashboard - Show total of unsent invoices in 'Invoices owed to you' section.
The Dashboard panel "Invoices owed to you" shows the number and total of
* Draft Invoices
* Awaiting Payment
* OverdueHaving a fourth line showing Unsent invoices would quickly notify users of those approved invoices which haven't yet been sent, whether intentionally or in error.

Bills to pay - Transaction type for Buyer-created tax invoices (RCTI)
When purchasing product from clients we issue them with a hand-written Buyer Created Invoice on farm & then need to input this into Xero as a bill payment. But this doesn't show that it was a buyer created invoice. Please can this option be added

Sales Invoice - Update item price when converting quote to invoice
The ability for Xero to automatically update pricing or changes that were made to items in products and services, when a quote is converted to an invoice.
Or to at least get a notification that changes were made to the items in the quote when it is converted to an invoice.

Xero Accounting app - Send customer receipt
I generate invoices from the Xero app. Quick and easy. I would like to generate a receipt from my iPhone app as well after a customer has paid. At present you can only do this via the website.

Invoicing - Ability to select payment details, without needing separate templates
I have a lot different invoice currency which the customer should paying into respective bank account according to invoice currency. However, the invoice template now is having single standard terms which i have to list down all bank accounts in the invoice. There is also limit for creating custom invoice template but it is also not an good idea to create different template just to follow the bank account currency.
Hope that Xero can create the filter for user to select the terms that match the criteria. Thank you.

Sales invoicing - Default to "Add Another" after choosing "Add Another"
Sometimes I want to add more than one invoice at the same time, and so I choose the "Approve + Add Another" option in the button dropdown. That's helpful, since it's fewer clicks and fewer page loads. But for the second invoice form, the button stays with "Approve" and I need to click the small dropdown arrow and go into the button menu again and select "Approve + Add Another", and repeat this for every invoice that I add.
I think if someone selects "Approve + Add Another", then the second invoice form should have "Approve + Add Another" as…

Invoicing - Option to upload custom image to standard invoice
Dear Sir/Madam,
When I download custom xero template it has «PaymentImage» code.
I would like to upload my own image different from Payment Service image to the bottom of the standard invoice same as logo, then I will not need to use a custom PDF template.Could you add this option?
PDF invoices are not convenient as it requires invoice to have Sent status to print PDF. And no quick preview availiable, so no option to preview custom invoice prior sending it.

Bills - Organisation search function when using Save to Xero
When we receive a bill from a supplier that also uses Xero we have the option to put it in as a draft bill directly into our Xero. It's very useful feature. But as a partner with nearly 200 clients when we click through it asks us to log in and select which client the bill is for. We used to be able to type the company name (usually our own) but that option has been removed and now I have to scroll down the list of clients until I find the right one. Bills - Approve when importing bills
While importing bills from QB in bulk, it would be a great time-saver if Xero could automatically Approve the bills while being imported. Currently they go to the Draft folder.
2 votesHi Dan, if you're a Xero Partner you could look into using the Conversion toolbox when setting up a clients org which'll allow you to import invoices and bills as any status.
Otherwise, via a normal import to an organisation bills will always import with as draft. You'll be able to bulk approve imported draft bills from the list view of the Draft tab - select all the bills you'd like and click the Approve option

49 votesHi community, we want to update you that we've recently released the ability to include Purchase Orders (PO) through Payable Invoice Summary report. If you expand the side panel on the left of the report and select the 'Outstanding purchase orders summary' report, this will automatically display all Bills, Credit Notes and Purchase Orders and group them by Contact for you. You can use the total row of each contact to infer the remaining balance.
We're aware this may not directly show the information that you’re asking for here, so we'll keep the status idea as it is and we’ll let you know if there’s any further updates.

Projects - Improved reports & data fields for estimating
When developing a quote via Projects, we can add in an estimated cost and then enter a margin to give an estimated expense. However we cannot then retrospectively see what the original supplier cost is and therefore profit expected. Neither does it offer a field to enter who the supplier is. The Project financial reports have a header to show 'estimated cost' but it does not populate this field. The only time a cost is shown is if it is entered as an actual expense.

Branding - Set defaults for different types of transactions
I already submitted and someone closed off my ticket incorrectly.
I want the ability to have a default template for INVOICES and a different default template for QUOTES.

Credit note - Ability to set an expiry date
Hi all!
I'm a one man band IT business, and I've just started being put on retainer by a company which is great, however I'm finding accounting for the retainer to be a bit burdensome.
Currently, my plan is it add the retainer's ammount as a credit note at the beginning of the month, and then somehow nullify any remaining credit at the end. However, I was wondering if it would be possible to add a way of managing retainers separately and more efficiently from credit?
Or even just having the option to add an expiry date to a credit…
2 votesGreat to hear how you're currently using Xero with Credit Notes to manage this process for yourself, Joseph. I've slightly amended your idea for being able to set an expiry for a credit note as it's quite unlikely that we'll look to create a completely new feature for managing retainers.
Having a quick look at some of the other ideas raised in community, it looks like some people maybe using SimPro as a means to manage these, alternatively you could explore apps in the ecosystem that may meet your needs. 🙂

Batch Payment | Remittance Advice - Create for batches that include an overpayment hin there
Please allow remittance advices to be sent to clients from a batch payment even if it contains an overpayment. There is something fundamentally wrong for there not to be an option for this. A batch payment of 100 invoices with an overpayment of 1 is not cause for there not being an option to send a remittance advice to my clients. I've had to search the page and manually extract it onto an excel file and then send to suppliers. Very time consuming especially if you make large batch payments for over 50 different suppliers.

Invoices - Ability to add details on the Description field without appearing on the customer invoice
In our business, there may be multiple people helping on a particular project for a client. Currently, in order to have the income allocated correctly to each employee we have to enter separate items for each person. This then flows through to the invoice, showing all the amounts and items listed separately.
Would it be possible to look at a way that "behind the scenes" we can add multiple invoice items so that income is allocated correctly, but on the invoice it shows a single description and amount?
It just makes the invoice look more confusing than it needs to…
