Desperately needing the function of being able to customise receipts. I am in the charity sector and need to include key information on receipts to our donors as a legal requirement.

As a charity, we only exist due to donations and grants, so our requirement to provide an IRD compliant receipt is absolutely essential. Please can the functionality to modify the receipt template be available so we don't have to spend our precious donation funds on admin hours which could easily be done with a click of a button.

The only way to have a custom receipt is to create an advanced invoice template that is multifunctional BUT you cant add in payment merge fields.

As a non-profit charity in New Zealand, we are required by law to include a signature and CEO name on all our donation receipts.
It would be great if there was the option to extend the custom template functionality which is available for invoices, across to receipts too so we can add this vital info.
I've looked into the invoice workaround (https://central.xero.com/s/article/Email-or-print-a-customised-receipt) but as a lot of our donors communicate via email rather than official invoices it isn't a reliable option for us.
Unfortunately, until this functionality is available we can't keep all our accounts processes in one place, which is stretching our already limited resources and time even thinner. Any solution would be greatly appreciated!

we should not have to create an invoice when we receive voluntary donations to get a receipt that has a signature on it, as required by IRD. This is just making additional work and is not consistent with xero philosophy in my view!!!
