Hi Xero, I would really like to request the receipt template can be customised just like to quotation and invoice. It is as important to my customer to see my documents consistency from quotation, invoice to receipts.

Also Correct the terminology of the product idea to remove confusion with the product developers. It Should read "Branding Theme - Docx templates for ...."

Can you please seperate this issue into three, Xero has a history of only delivering on Part of a Product Idea and updating the whole Idea as Delivered.

This is all a great idea and should be easy enough to implement. It would look a lot more professional and save having to write the details on the receipt as we do now.

Come on XERO this cannot be too complicated.

I'd like to also second this idea, as it is otherwise very difficult to know why receipts to include with an invoice. Another addition that is required is to be able to attached the actual receipts to the outgoing invoice as file attachments.

I'd like to second this idea. It's pretty annoying to have to copy/paste the invoice number into the receipt email every time.

Desperately needing the function of being able to customise receipts. I am in the charity sector and need to include key information on receipts to our donors as a legal requirement.

As a charity, we only exist due to donations and grants, so our requirement to provide an IRD compliant receipt is absolutely essential. Please can the functionality to modify the receipt template be available so we don't have to spend our precious donation funds on admin hours which could easily be done with a click of a button.

Receipt template options

The receipt template does not allow for the invoice number, reference or description to be listed on the receipt. I have to manually type this in each time otherwise my clients don't know which invoice I am receipting.

Please allow for these placeholders and auto send a receipt when the invoice is reconciled.

Is there any update on when or if this functionality to customise receipts might become available? Myself and others in the charity sector are still hanging out for this feature, please!

Would love for remittances to be customised in the same way as invoices and credit notes.

Why has custom receipts / remittances not been implemented yet?

To maintain the brand identity and providing relevant information to your customer is a key, to establish the right perception and build trust.

Without customisation it’s limited

Would like the ability to customise Remittance inline with custom invoices.

The only way to have a custom receipt is to create an advanced invoice template that is multifunctional BUT you cant add in payment merge fields.

As a non-profit charity in New Zealand, we are required by law to include a signature and CEO name on all our donation receipts.

It would be great if there was the option to extend the custom template functionality which is available for invoices, across to receipts too so we can add this vital info.

I've looked into the invoice workaround (https://central.xero.com/s/article/Email-or-print-a-customised-receipt) but as a lot of our donors communicate via email rather than official invoices it isn't a reliable option for us.

Unfortunately, until this functionality is available we can't keep all our accounts processes in one place, which is stretching our already limited resources and time even thinner. Any solution would be greatly appreciated!

we should not have to create an invoice when we receive voluntary donations to get a receipt that has a signature on it, as required by IRD. This is just making additional work and is not consistent with xero philosophy in my view!!!
