I would like to make a suggestion (for XERO improvements). on the inventory page, where it is listed, where there are 3 dots on the right (currently only archive or delete), can EDIT not be added there, rather than first clicking on it, and then searching the edit button on the top of the next screen

  2. On bills awaiting payment and payment batches having a way to copy the amount that is not formatted so that it can be pasted directly into bank payment amount fields. At the moment the value is formatted with commas "1,200" which cannot be copied directly to a bank payment page.

    Hi team, appreciate it's been some time since this idea was initially raised. Returning and doing some testing in the current product this is now possible. Sorry we have not updated on this idea sooner.

    You'll find in both batch payment and within an individual bill payment you can copy and paste amounts. Currency symbols will be stripped but the formatting of the amount itself should be pasted.

  3. We enter bulk bills into the system and can only attached a copy of the invoice after authorised. To upload these signed invoices are time consuming having to open each bill and then drag or attached the copy invoice.

    It would save us so much time if these invoices could be attached directly to the bills in purchase overview instead of having to open every bill.

    Hi team, appreciate it's been a while since this was first raised here. Recently we released some changes to the list view of bills where you can now 'Quick view' your bills from the list view without having to open each individually.

    You'll find by clicking on the eye icon in the list it'll open up a side view of the bill where you can also add attachments 😊

  4. Hi there, we have a suggestion that would help us a lot as we have a lot of tracking categories. Could Xero add a fixed top menu and side menu so that when we scroll up and down we can still see the tracking categories and also what it relates to. Basically freeze the left column with headings and freeze the top column with headings.

    Hi team, with no response we're going to guess this is within reports. If so, with Xero reports you'll find the top row and left column- are now 'sticky', so you can see the headings when scrolling beyond where they'd be displayed. 🙂

  5. When sending an invoice from a mobile device, remove the “send me a copy” button, or at least let us make a one time adjustment to stop having to turn it off every single time.

    Appreciate letting us know how we could improve your flow when working from the Xero Accounting app, Joshua. Our team have just released a change for iOS to align with the Android behaviour.

    Now, when you send an invoice or a quote, the 'Send me a copy' field will be unchecked by default.🙂

  6. The buttons linking to detailed reports from the project profitability tab don't go to the place they claim. They just take you to a blank report view. Very useless and pretty annoying.     Hi all, leading on from our last update we're going to move this idea to 'Delivered' with the change the team made to Projects in August last year (apologies for the late update here!) You'll now find that all the reports on the profitability tab take you to the report, filtered to the project you were on 🌟

  7. Not quite sure if this is applicable here, but it would be good if there was a newsletter of sorts to announce any new apps that is released on the Xero App Store. It'll be good if there was a update of sorts whenever a new integration for Xero was released, especially for clients who're still looking for the right app to sign up for.

    Like your thinking in how we could better surface apps that could help your clients needs. You may have seen that we've made a few updates to our App you now have options to Discover and select New and Noteworthy integrations 😁

  8. On the newly rolled out quote form, have the ability to change the default 'Send me a copy' when emailing the quote.
    Why would I want to send myself a copy when I have all my quotes available to me directly through Xero?!

    The 'send me a copy' field remembers the last setting used. So, if you untick this for one, it should default to unticked for the next one and following ✅ 

  9. It would be great if you could add a "New Item" when you first create a transaction. At the moment, you have to save and close the transaction, go back to it and "edit" then you can see +New Item at the top of the Item column. It would be a great improvement to workflow if you could do this straight away and if anyone like me has new items each week it would save some time. Thanks.

  10. Ability to add a discount for unit price just for a single line item.

    Hi community, this is possible for invoices with the use of the discounts column where you'd only enter a discount for particular line items. With new invoicing you'll have the option to enter a discount as either a % or amount. 

    Alternatively if you'd just like Xero to calculate the unit price and not need this shown you could use Xero's inbuilt calculator to enter an equation that'll automatically calculate the price for you based on a given amount. 

    We have a separate thread going for the ability to add discounts to bills (accounts payable invoices) that some of you may like to join for any updates. 

  11. When previewing the attachments / supporting documents, it would be great to be able to move the preview onto a different screen so can more easily mark of items as correct as reviewer, without having to download/ open.

  12. Not sure if this feature is already coming but would be great to be able to use a custom date range in the Business Snapshot reporting. We have clients who run on a 4-4-5 basis so would be great to be able to produce the report for their accounting period.

    To use custom date ranges, and get access to more advanced features, you can upgrade to Xero Analytics Plus. 

    You can do this either by upgrading your subscription to the Ultimate plan, or by selecting it as an add-on.

  13. Ability to alert a user when there’s duplicate invoices references when they’re about to approve it.

    Purpose: To prevent when user approved invoices in bulk through either the Draft or Awaiting Approval sections. So they can double check

    Our duplicate bills detection is now live! 🥳Xero will compare the contact, reference and amount of bills and credit notes to identify and help you review possible duplicates.

    Where duplicates are picked up you'll see a banner above the bills list where you can click to review, this option is also available from the 3 dot menu in the top left of the list.

    From the review page you'll be able to take action on any unpaid bills. See more on this feature in Xero Central.

  15. Option to show trading in name in online quotes rather than legal name.

    Purpose: To be able to show a consistent name when the user sends online quotes and PDF quotes. As the PDF quote shows the trading name.

    Hi team, reviewing your idea here - his is actually possible with the use of DOCX using an advanced invoice template.

    You can download the template and enter the organisations name in static text. When applied you'll see this show on both the online Quote and PDF of the Quote.

    Give it a go and send to yourself if you'd like to see how it looks first.🙂

  16. Automatically include PDF of invoice when sending it via Xero Network Key.

    Purpose: Some clients need to see the attachment of the invoice. It’s also good for audit purposes.

    Hi team, pleased to share that with the release of Xero to Xero in invoicing we've also provided the ability to include attachments with your invoice when sending, as well as the option to include a PDF copy of the invoice. See more detail on Xero Central.

    Currently this is live to all regions excepting Singapore which we're just doing a little more work to enable. I'll be back to share when Singapore users can also make use of this feature in Xero.

    It sounds like you're looking to create supplier bills in bulk. If so, you can do this by importing them using a CSV template, which you can download from the 'Purchases overview' screen in Xero.

  18. Adding a preview button when creating an invoice with DocX.

    Purpose: To save time rather than to send a dummy transaction.

    Hi team, this is now possible in new invoicing. 🙂

    You'll find when you 'Preview' an invoice in new invoicing if you have applied an advanced branding theme template to the invoice your customised template will be visible.

    Alternatively, you can also Print PDF or use the 'Get link' to view the invoice, too.
