  1. allow quantities to be added direclty to the ledger and then to feed into reporting templates. manualy entered reporting data is fraught with danger and history is lost from year to year, which means we are replugging data every year...current "semi-automated" practice doesnt seem to fit with xero ethos

  3. Has anyone else noticed since they made the dreaded and catastrophic changes in the contact view screen that you can't easily drag and drop attachments anymore?
    Now you have to go to the files tab first and drop it in the predefined window. You used to be able to just drag and drop anywhere in the window and it would attach.

    You also used to be able to add documents from the files section like you still can with the bills and invoices, this feature no longer exists in contacts so now you have to download the document from files…

    We appreciate hearing your feedback on the changes we're making, Fiona. We made an update to the files upload on a contacts record not long ago so you can now attach files that have been uploaded to your files library, like you could before. 


    There is a slight change as you mention where when you'd like to drag & drop a file you'll need to drag it to the box on the screen. It's not something we have plans for changing in the short term but we'll begin to get a sense of the interest in this here and let you know if there are any updates. 

  4. Client access to Report Templates
    In Xero HQ as a partner we have the ability to create report packages however it is only for use within our practice, it would be really helpful if we had the option to share these with our clients.

  5. It would be useful to have the ability to mark a document pack as complete even if some of the signatures are missing.

    We have had occasions where trustees refuse to sign via document packs after the clients have already signed. We then have to print the partially signed documents and send hard copies for trustees to sign.

    This leaves the document pack incomplete. The only option available is to cancel the pack, not ideal The ability to mark the pack as complete would be a great addition.

  6. It would be great if there was an option to change staff permissions in bulk. So if there was a practice employee for example who now needed Payroll Admin access for 20 clients, it could be done in a few clicks as opposed to changing it for each of those 20 clients.

  7. Improve the look of the client signatures on document packs. Particularly with the financial statements, it includes a date and a name but this already is present on the document.

    If we could have different elements for name, signature and date that would make it look clearer.

  8. A report that could tell you the status of all clients super payments that are processed through the Xero super function. This would allow practices to ensure compliance with ATO processing and payment dates

  9. Set the demo company as the first company seen on log-in, or be able to set which one you want to see.

    I often use my laptop when speaking with clients and for a split second after logging-in I am on another clients business dashboard until I can grab the mouse and change it to their business. I don't think this is good business practice.

  11. With Xero Ask queries you specify a due date but if the query is not replied to there is no reminder sent to the client once the date has passed.

    Can we please have reminders automatically sent, much in the same way invoice reminders are sent.

  13. Have the ability to create more than one report style (colour and logo) so when you export to a 'Styled PDF' there are choices beyond 'no styling' and your default.

  14. It would be nice to have a report where you show the Transaction Date, Account, Check Number, Description, Coding.

    Currently the Check Number is not a data field that you can put into a report.

  15. Please add in the fixed asset numbers in the new depreciation schedule. The old report had this and it made it very easy to review and reconcile. This feature is very much needed. Thanks

  16. It would be very helpful to be able to mark individual months in each account as reconciled so a separate list does not have to be done to ensure that each month's books are fully complete. Thank you!

  18. Report Fields
    Would be nice to be able to auto populate the net profit into new reports as older report packs did.

    The older report packs had a net profit before tax / net profit after tax field option how has an "upgrade" to new report lost this feature?

  19. We have clients who have purchased their own Xero subscriptions and clients for whom we have purchased the subscriptions.

    I have enquired, and at present there is no method of determining which client is which without manually checking each client.

    Would it be possible to create a report that can identify the subscription purchaser?
