HubDoc - make the subscriber of the Xero file the owner of the HubDoc file
At the moment there is a glaring issue with Xero files and HubDoc files, that the subscriber/owner of each can be different, even though the HubDoc file is integrated with the Xero file and is "paid for" by virtue of the Xero subscription.
This means it's possible for someone to lose access to their HubDoc account, even if they are the subscriber of their Xero file. Nightmare.

Hubdoc - Email-to-Bill Rules
Allow for rules to be placed on what to do when data is missing or unable to be grabbed. Ideally for these to be linked by which supplier the order is from or even setting global rules
Specific Ideas:
-Setting a default Global Due by date when missing
-Setting a specific stock line(s) to apply stock to by supplier
-Setting not to overwrite cost price with default cost price in system.4 votes -
Hubdoc - Allow publishing of $0.00 bills
Not an idea really but a bug which needs fixing.
A lot of suppliers like FedEx for example send $0 bills which HubDoc is unable to publish to Xero as the Tax and Subtotal amounts is calculated wrongly despite the bill's Total Amount of $0.00 being correctly detected. As a result the invoice cannot be published to Xero.3 votes -
Hubdoc - Bulk edit supplier configurations
I would like to do a bulk update of the supplier configurations in HubDoc to set the "Configure rules for Xero" to "off" so that we can begin our configurations from scratch. Doing it maunally for the number of suppliers we have is very time consuming so I would like to request assistance in making a bulk change.
The automated help agrees it a good idea and suggested the following

Hubdoc - Assign admin rights over clients and users to one practice user
Primary issue:
If the Accounting Firm wants to maintain control over a client's records and Xero integrations, then only one person can be the one that creates every client in HubDoc.Workaround proposed - and the related issue:
- We were advised to create a dummy account for HubDoc to create the client files. This results in having to share a password - changing it frequently with staff changes.
- This also is not feasible due to the 2-Factor Authorization requirements

Hubdoc - Purchase Order Field Extracted to Transaction Detail Window
I believe it would be of great help to extract the Purchase Order code from the invoice into hubdoc.
It is very important to create a simple path from the begging of creating a purchase order to finally paying for the product or service and having a way to connect it all together, I believe the purchase order number is a vital part of the process and can be referenced throughout the whole process.
Would be great to hear some feedback on this idea!

Hubdoc - Untick 'Save configuration' check box by default
In the HubDoc there is a default setting with a checkbox always marked (active) for "save configuration".
A lot of mistakes are made because old text is saved and reused when it shouldn't.
It's better if there is no text instead of wrong text.
Therefore the default should be unchecked (off) for this "save configuration" checkbox because it causes a lot of problems when the wrong text is saved to XERO.

Hubdoc - Drag & drop details from scanned document
We currently can drag and drop details in the bank rec screen to populate fields. As the OCR in Hubdoc is not so polished yet, if we can have a similar drag and drop feature would be immense in using Hubdoc to process transactions as this would cut down on the data entry.

Hubdoc - Failed tab notification dot
It would be really helpful if there was a way of adding a notification dot on the "failed" tab in Hubdocs to alert the user to any documents that have not been published. We have often had documents that have failed but forget to look on the failed tab. A reminder dot would be so helpful and probably quite easy to install into the programme. Is this possible please?

Hubdoc - Increase upload file size
Currently the file sizes generated in uploading receipts is unnecessary large - I often see 3Mb for a coffee receipt! This is problematic when onward charging expenses to customers (and requires manually resizing before adding to an invpice which is time consuming) and must be costing you a fortune in data storage. Why isn't the file size limited to a sensible size or at least configurable by the user?

Please include the function to translate financial statement from the local/base currency to reporting currency.
Currently, the PL is converted at month end rate rather than the average rate. This is incorrect.

Hubdoc - Include email header details (From, To, Subject, Date) in the Hubdoc document
When an email is forwarded to Hubdoc, only the body of the email is captured (if you have that option ticked in the settings). We need the full email sent to Hubdoc captured in the document created by Hubdoc, ie please include the email fields FROM, TO, SUBJECT, DATE as well as the body of the email, ie the full email that was sent to Hubdoc. Often we have to reply to the email that has been sent and we only have access to the version sent to Hubdoc as the original email is often sent to the clients email…

Locked Date & Xero Integration
Locked Dates & Integration with Xero.
Currently irrespective of a locked date in Xero, HubDoc will publish a document within a locked period - this is problematic and in my opinon cause greive from a reporting aspect.
Could a change please be made to prevent publication in HubDoc of documents for a locked period. With a message to indicate "Unable to Publish due to Locked Period". The User will then have the option to Unlock the date in Xero if required or have the date as the 1st of the current reporting period.

Hubdoc - Option to set Account Codes that can be selected
Can we dumb it down for our clients when it comes to selecting the account code. When creating an invoice or a purchase bill we should not be able to code it to Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable. When posting directly to Xero it gives you an error but when someone is posting to BILL or QuickBooks it continues to let it go through. Then when BILL syncs with Xero it causes a syncing error. This is also an issue with the bank accounts being select as the account code. Why can we just remove bank accounts, AR and AP…

Hubdoc - Prompt when Total isn't certain
I wanted to put a suggestion that when hubdoc is getting the totals, that they get the correct total and maybe even a prompt when it is unsure of the subtotal and total. I have had a few issues come up where hubdoc is bringing in the incorrect total.

Hubdoc App - Hide Archived documents in Mobile App
Hubdoc App. Can we have the ability to hide archived documents. Or create a separate tab similar to the web version. Another option is to make archived documents dim so clients are aware that the documents are processed and are in Xero.
