  3. The Client Code field is not available in the ITCRPT report. Having the Client Code field available in all reports is a basic key function of any CRM, as it allows for proper data matching between systems, data cleansing, combining reports and analysis. Using the Client Code field across all systems is common practice.

    We are trying to match and combine client lists from other systems to the ITCRPT report in Xero so key data is available for our teams on the one report. This is critical for lodgement management. Yet we are not able to do this, because the…

  4. Please add the ability for Xero Tax to directly upload a list of data (Excel or CSV) for;
    1. List of Assets for capital allowances where the business does not use Fixed Assets Module
    2. List of participators loans
    3. List of projects for R&D

  5. When completing the CT600, the maximum size document you can attach is 1MB. This is not ideal especially when doing a R&D claim

  6. The ability to bulk update staff access to client tax returns in xero tax. Currently, the only way to change staff access to certain clients in the xero tax feature is to go into each client file and change it individually. A bulk update function would be more efficient and less time consuming.

  7. M1 medicare levy reduction has an income test. IT8 for dependants does not. These 2 items are linked in Xero tax. Can you please unlink them.

  8. I use Xero Tax to prepare all my self-assessment returns for clients and I'd like to send out a reminder this month of the POA due at the end of the month along with their UTR references. Is there any way to produce a report from Xero Tax summarising this information by client which could be exported to Excel and used as basis for a mail merge? If not, this would be really helpful and presumably, as the information is already held in Xero Tax to generate the Payment Reports this should not be very complex to develop. Thanks

  9. Currently when there is a password update on the Agents Government Gateway you need to go into each client to update to enable HMRC submissions. It would be great to change in one place and less time consuming.

  10. I believe there should be an option to run a report which shows which tax returns / activity statements have been amended and lodged as a revised version for your whole client database. Without this, there is no current way of knowing the amount of revised returns / activity statements that you have lodged which can be a problem.

It would be good if Xero Tax calculated the estimated PAYG instalment payable in SMSF Tax Returns as we use this to inform our clients of what amounts they are up for in the new financial year, a very important piece of information for them to consider re timing and amount of cashflow outgoings. Xero Tax does it for individuals so not sure how difficult it would be to make it apply for all entities subject to the PAYG Instalment system.

  12. When 'ignoring' tax notices (letters) and adding a note this is only available to be viewed while the date is available in the payment tab. It would be handy to have the Tax History including the body of the note be available in the Statement tab when the amount is ignored as it is when amount changes.

It would be really good if when the accounts and corporation tax return have been sent out for digital signature to a client that there was a send receipt with a date and time stamp to show its been sent to the client with details of what email address it was sent to. When sending out lots of requests over various different clients it is easy to forget if you have sent the signature requests out.

  16. It would be timesaving to be able to Create a Tax Form (all types) directly within the Returns tab and link to an Existing Client and Job.

    What would be even better would be to be able to add a Job on the fly during the process if not already established.

  17. Currently Xero pulls data from the connected ledger into Xero tax – it’s great! But its pulls the account name, when we’re often only changing the reporting name so as not to mess with a clients system.
    Would be beneficial if Xero tax pulled the reporting name rather than the account name through for linked accounts. Would make things more consistent between financials & tax return.

  19. Exporting Canadian GIFI schedule should be enabled for the current tax year. Sometimes we need to export the current period to run a tax projection in the tax software.

  20. Whilst this currently auto calculates, there is no calculation in Xero to confirm the return has the correct amount. This has to be checked manually, which can leave room for errors and requires extra work by users. It would be more efficient if the system could check this.
