Purpose: To make users’ easily publish the document and assign it to Xero Project.

This is a logical and extremely useful addition to Hubdoc if implemented and essential for the efficiency of Projects

I don't understand why this isn't included with Hubdoc. Why would you offer both Hubdoc and Projects and not connect them. Especially as there isn't an easy way to run a report showing what invoices have not been allocated to Projects.

Not being able to add project detail in Hubdoc and only being able to add tracking in Hubdoc is very labour intensive for high volume clients (with all clients really).
Also having to push items through as a draft into Xero and then add the project details after the fact as another step is counterintuitive. Why would you want to add more steps to a process vs reduce the amount of steps? Become more efficient not less...
It's not an easy or time effective process when other programs/software's offer a more effective and efficient solution to project tracking. Xero would not be my recommendation to anyone with projects at this time.

We are not able to move clients to Xero that use projects. Hard to market this software when they are limitations.

This is a very important feature for our clients and this is why we we have to continue to use Dext.

This is critical to strengthening the Projects product on Xero. At this point Projects is not fully developed making it challenging to choose Xero as a the preferred interface for project cost management.

As Other have said it is vitally important that Bills are allocated to a project so that when the project is invoiced out no costs are missed. It makes sense that this is done in Hubdoc when the bills are entered into the system. Having to do it as an addiction set is a step that should not need to be done.
As Other have said it is very poor that this is not a planned feature. -

It is vitally important that bill can be allocated to projects via HubDoc or similar applications. Currently the bill can only be allocated to a project once uploaded to xero, this additional step is unnecessarily time consuming when processing multiple bill and projects.
We are very concerned to note the feature request “Projects integration with Receipt Bank” was closed by xero as “not planned” in march 2022, does this indicate that xero does not appreciate the importance of such integration or is there a fundamental issue with the integration of projects in xero? -

Projects are a key way to manage costs for clients in a large range of industries. I use it at nearly all my clients and won’t be able to use Hubdoc without it integrating to projects

I have found a way of doing publishing to projects from Hubdoc. Once you publish it, find it in Xero and click edit. From here, it gives you the option to allocate to a project.

This is becoming hugely important for us - we are now recommending a lot of clients use Projects and not being able to add Project detail in Hubdoc is really hamstringing us - to tell a client they can add tracking in Hubdoc but have to push as draft into Xero and add the Project as another step there is just frustrating.

I use Projects for my business and I find it very time consuming to have to manually enter every bill just so I can allocate it to a project. It would be massively timesaving if hubdoc worked in conjunction with Projects.

We have lots of projects under one customer and it makes it difficult to not being able to choose from projects instead of customers
