GST - Enable AIM tax method

Enable AIM tax method for NZ
This is needed for small businesses in NZ to do their own AIM lodgement automatically via Xero without using an accountant. In the GST return, there are three options currently; Standard, Estimate, and Ratio but not AIM. The whole purpose of AIM is to smooth cashflow and make it simpler for small businesses to file one return for both GST and Income Tax at the same time, but it appears this option is not available to us! Please vote for this to be included ASAP as an option.

    Having used Xero for the first year and now getting into a period where I would like to use AIM, I'm frustrated to find I cannot do so without my Accountant doing it.

    This missing feature is the only thing stopping me from moving from MYOB Business to Xero.

    AIM is a fantastic way to accurately pay provisional tax and even out your cashflow. And it’s even better when you can do it yourself with a few clicks, like you can in MYOB Business.

    Come on, Xero. Time to move AIM out of Practice Manager and put it where it belongs.

    The ability to file AIM returns on a cash basis is important for clients for cash flow purposes. Some clients deal with large invoices that don't get paid out within the same period they are issued. This can inflate their tax figure for the period and strain their cash flow until they get paid.

    I'm constantly asked by clients for the ability for them to file AIM themselves and avoid the expense of Accountant involvement every 2 months. Clients using MYOB Essentials can file the AIM Summary themselves.
