UK Tax - Ability to Select or Create Custom Disclosure Titles in Accounts (eg, going concern)
Currently, Xero only provides a generic “Additional Disclosure” box when preparing accounts in Xero Tax. However, there are many cases where specific disclosures are required, such as:
Guarantees and Other Financial Commitments
Going Concern
It would be highly beneficial to have the ability to either:
Select from a list of standard disclosure titles, or
Create a new custom disclosure title, which is displayed in bold in the final report—making the disclosures clearer, more compliant, and professionally formatted.
Benefits:
Improves compliance with reporting requirements.
Enhances the presentation and clarity of financial statements.
Saves time for preparers by avoiding repetitive workaround text formatting.
Reduces risk of omission or confusion due to non-specific headings.
Suggested Implementation:
A dropdown menu to choose from standard disclosure headings.
An option to “Add Custom Disclosure Title” that is automatically formatted in bold.
Optional subtext formatting for explanatory content under the heading.
