  1. A common situation we have with our clients' live Xero files is that the client wants the Legal/Trading name and Display Name as their business name, but we want it as the actual entity name. E.g. we would like to see A & B Smith Family Trust as the entity name in financial statements, but the client wants all their other internal reports/invoices as their trading name, say Adam's Mechanical Services.
    We often find ourselves changing the name to what we require, publishing financials and then changing it back to keep the client happy.

  2. Would be great to have ability to GET document packs stored in Xero HQ so the files can be also hosted externally in other document systems (Suite Files, FYI, SharePoint, Google Drive etc).

  7. The old version of profit & loss will retire in 31 July. However, the departmental combination report is really helpful. As per attachment, it compares the performance of each department on one page. It is much easier to use and review the performance. Currently, no other report has the same function.

    The new version of p&l also has the function to filter the p&l for each department. However, there is no combination report as the old version.

    It would be really helpful to have a combined departmental report as the old version of p&l.

  9. A client user console with the ability for that user to log in and see queries on multiple entities rather than have to click on every email. eg. particularly useful when asking queries to a bookkeeper or financial planner on multiple different clients so that they can track all their queries in one location.

  10. It is not really Xero HQ, it is in MyXero dashboard and in subscriptions where you can input a client code. This is the code that then shows on the CSV file attached to the monthly Xero bill for client subscriptions. At the moment this client code can only be input manually. We really need the ability to export client subscription list and re-import with a client code so that it would make allocating client Xero files for billing easier each month.   12. Bring back Xero HQ Activity tab. It was the only place you can see which of your clients GST Returns still needed to be filed.

    You cant even generate a report for this in myIR Intermediary.

  13. Calculated Opening Balance on partner accounts (bold line), plus OB for conversion year showing on a separate line. It would be practical to merge this two, but the calculated OB line can't be merged into a group. Instead opening balances prior conversion year must be entered in an unbalanced journal - looked up manual - ok, but just unusual and I have spent too much time on contacting Xero Support and finding this solution.
    Merging the two OB lines would be a much quicker way.

  15. Payroll Department Coding - to be able to put a department code on all payroll categories and report to show employee name/gross wages/department coding assigned to payroll. The only way in Xero at the moment is through timesheets but this does not allow for all payroll categories to have a department code allocated. And when producing a timesheet report it does not show the $ gross wages for each employee only the hours. Need to include coding on allowances, leave and super.

  16. Export/Import Xero Network Keys for clients (from Xero HQ) in order to be able to import into company Xero.

    So that our invoices can also be sent directly to the clients Xero, so saves time on bookkeeping.

  19. Have the ability to bulk remove users. We have just taken over 6 Xero accounts and the previous advisor has 100+ staff members that need to be removed from each account, it's going to take me forever to do this individually.

  20. A % state by state breakdown of turnover is required for professional indemnity insurance policies for accountants. It would be great if Xero allowed us to do a report by state picking up the postcodes off the invoices.
