  1. Could there be an extra column where you can tick multiple jobs so that the job status can be updated. Not only one job at a time.

    Hi team, thanks again for your input to product ideas. We have now released bulk actions for Jobs in Practice Manager.

    From the Bulk actions button you'll find a number of items you can bulk update including; Priority, State, Start date, Due date and of course, Staff, Manager or Partner. 😊

    We hope you find these actions speed up your workflow and make working with jobs that touch easier!

    Hi team, as mentioned in my last update there are already means to view your balances when reconciling.

    Currently from the Reconcile screen of a bank account there is the Balance in Xero shown at the top that updates as you reconcile.

    Account Transactions will also show the running balance of the accounts selected.

  3. It would be helpful to be able to change the default wording in the Xero sign email and even select from various templates.

    Currently the default email is very generic and lacks the tone our practice uses.

  4. Since the creation of the new Job Manager, we are now unable to bulk add new staff members to staff allocations within a job.

    You can bulk add the jobs, but then you need to manually do the job allocations for each job

    When you have a new staff member and you want to assign them to 300 jobs, it would make it easier if we could do this in bulk rather than on a job by job basis.

    Hi team, sorry we haven't updated you all on this idea sooner. This is possible 😊 - From Job Manager you can select multiple jobs and then click the Bulk actions > Staff option to bulk allocate your staff to jobs.

  5. Bulk Completion of Jobs
    Our team mark jobs as ready to invoice. It would be great if the billing team can click next to (select) mutliple jobs and click on a complete button without completing the jobs individually.

    Hi everyone, we've released updates for bulk actions on Jobs in Practice Manager, including the ability to bulk update the State of multiple jobs at once.

    No more having to complete jobs one-by-one, simply select the jobs you want to update, click Bulk actions and choose the State 🙂

  6. I want to be able to update start and end dates on jobs easily in the all jobs screen. Would help a heap with annual accounts planning

    Hi all, our teams have been working on the development of the Job Manager table and have released the option to update the date on the jobs from the ‘All jobs’ screen. Thanks for sharing this feedback with us, here!

  7. In Report Builder when building many types of reports (including Client & Contact and WIP Ledger), we would like to be able to filter for just one Client Group.
    However, the [Client]Group field is only available in the Fields section, but not the Criteria section of the report. This means we can run a report for all clients and sort by group, but we cannot run a report just for one group.
    This reporting is essential when managing an accounting practice - we need to see WIP Ledger entries pertaining to a particular client group, for billing and KPI purposes.

    Hi community, 👋 thanks for all your support on this idea. I'm popping in to switch it across to delivered! 

    You'll find that both WIP Ledger and Client & Contact type reports now include the [Client] Group(s) criteria. This allows you to specify the client group you wish to report on.

    For more information on which fields can be used in reports see Report Builder data fields'

  8. I would like to see the Job Manager in the Home page of the jobs workflow. At the moment you can only Filter by Manager, however I want to see the status of all of my jobs with the manager in a column out to the side.

    Sincerely sorry we haven't updated this idea again sooner! I can confirm you can now see who's managing work or assigned to a job at a glance. 

    The All Jobs tab in the Practice Manager Job Manager now includes staff, partner and manager columns and you can choose multiple people in each filter. Customise the view for only the columns you'd like to see 😊
