Xero Tax - Column to show who owns the tax return
Would love to have the ability to add columns in the Tax Return tabs such as Partner or Manager so you can see who owns the return without having to open the return or go into the client.

Xero Sign - Send copy to self
Have the ability to send a copy of the actual message/links sent to a client to our own email when we we send something for e-signing via Xero Sign. Adobe sign has this option.
This would help us because:
1. It is a professional requirement to keep a copy of all correspondence sent to clients.
2. It also would help when they call and have a question about what to do if you could have the exact copy in front of you to step it through with them.

AU Tax - BAS/IAS filter to separate filings due on same date
BAS & IAS Filters.
We would like to be able to setup filters to separate BAS's & IAS's that have the same due date.
There is the option in the filter, tax type, to select 'Business Activity Statement' or 'Instalment Activity Statement', however, all Activity Statements are listed as tax type AS. We would like to be able to change the tax type to either be BAS or IAS.2 votes -
AU Tax - ability to update status in all tax return tab - additionally add ability to see more fields/columns for each tax return
The tax return view/list can be significantly improved through:
- the All tax return tab - ability to update the status from here. Currently, when we go to Lodge, we have to find the return in the All tab to determine what status it is at, then go to that specific status tab, find the return again, and update the status - this is really cumbersome, particularly when we are lodging numerous returns that are all set at different statuses.

AU Tax - Copy last years tax return format
The ability to copy and use the prior year's ITR template to enable early lodgments for substituted accounting period. e.g. trusts with 31 December balance dates which are due for lodgement on 30 April, but template isn't ready until 1 July.

NZ Tax - Alter Date format below payment schedule
when there is interest to pay and a date to calculate to is selected the wording comes up as - Assuming the return is assessed on 30/June/2023. This format should be either 30/6/2023

AU Tax - Practice wide ability to choose Default Postal Address to be Client Address
Allow a practice-wide setting to default postal address to client's postal address/main address, rather than agent address. Same applies to phone number and e-mail address.
I'll admit I'm brand new to Xero Tax, but the returns I have created so far default to Agent Postal Address, whereas all of my returns always use client postal address. Instead of having to toggle/switch this for every return (and in due course no doubt missing one at some point), it would be great to have a practice wide setting. AU Tax - IF fields in Cover Letters
Would like the option to input IF fields into our tax returns like we can in Activity Statements. I have found I have so much more scope in editing my cover letters by putting in IF fields (eg IF the amount is payable, put in the line about the payment details. IF the due date is already past, replace the date with 'As soon as possible' etc)

AU Tax - Exclude Client's Bank details and DOB when sending lodged return
Outside organisations are requesting copies of Tax returns and we don't want to show Client's bank account details and date of birth on the Lodged Tax Returns when sending via Xero electronically.
Clients of ours firm are concerned with identity theft. If this could be implemented it would be a great feature.
This affects Xero Tax and Xero Practice Manager.

AU TAX - Show if Xero totals are imported cash or accruals in Xero Tax
Show on xero tax form if you have imported the data on a cash or accruals basis. I often have no idea on initial viewing of a tax return.

Xero Tax - Remove nil tax payment notices
It would be great if XPM tax would remove these payment notices for clients where we are no longer filing tax returns for them. Currently they are created as nil payment notices and clutter up an already very busy tax payment system.
