  1. In Xero Tax when we save the completed tax return for the client as PDF for email, is there an option to hide other sensitive information in addition to the TFN, such as date of birth, address and bank details.

  2. As with Individual returns and Activity Statements, the contact name and email address are automatically populated when you press request signature. For some reason, Company, Trust, and Pship returns have to be manually entered. Besides the time, it opens up the risk of an incorrect address being entered. Please fix this small but meaningful step.

  3. Once the Statutory accounts are generated more customisation options would be very helpful. The ability to add or group headings in the P&L and balance sheet would be great. Currently there is no option to show pre-tax profits in the P&L or to show more detail within certain grouped headings in the balance sheet.

  4. Have a separate tick box to include/exclude the detailed disclosure (separate from other schedules).

    We would like to be able to print schedules where required but not show all of the detail for the asset and liabilities disclosure. Allow us to select which schedules get printed with the tax return, rather than the all or nothing approach.

  5. One click tax estimate.
    We often just print a tax estimate and it would be great to have one button for the tax estimate rather than having to unclick all the other options in the print menu.

  7. This can be entered in the losses area of the tax statement, but does not pull into the next years tax return so is a complete waste of time.
    Normal losses pull through but these rental ones do not.
    Please fix this issue.
    These and normal losses should pull through from IRD - we shouldn't have to enter these manually as we currently do.

  8. Currently if a tax letter email fails to send, for whatever reason, there is no email notification it failed to send. The system really needs to be enhanced so the person who sent the tax letter from XPM gets an email notification that the tax letter failed to send to that email address. Currently it is just blind faith that all letters are sent which is clearly not good.

    Our team is looking into this idea, however, they don't have any dates planned on when they’ll develop a notification to let you know whether a tax letter has failed to send. We understand that this feature is important so that you can be certain your clients have received their tax payment reminder letters.

    We are monitoring your feedback and votes here, so please keep adding them in this thread. For the time being, I’ll move this idea into ‘Under review’ status, and if there's any movement, we'll make sure to come back and update you here.

  9. The 'Activity Statement Substantiation Declaration' page should display the period the activity statement relates to.

    Thanks for raising as an idea here, Inna. While it's not possible to delete a tax agents logo atm you could upload a blank white picture as the logo where you'd like to remove the existing. 

    We don't have any direct plans around this atm, but we'll get a sense of the interest here and let you know if there's any progress.

  11. I have recently started switching clients to the New BAS Experience - Full BAS.
    I run the Activity Statement and export it so I can check the "Transactions by Tax Rate" and make changes.
    I have noticed that when I click back on the "Summary" tab, the report does not automatically update (it does under previous BAS experience) and there is also no "Update" or "Refresh" button.
    The only way to get the report to update is to hit the refresh on the web browser.
    This is another case of removing functionality.

Recent new requirements from the ATO mean that businesses have to nominate new BAS and tax agents via ATO Online Services for Business, before the Agent can add them on their end (on ATO Client Services for Agents). This requires the tax payer to have set up MyGovID, gone into RAM and log into ATO Online Services for Business. The majority of clients have no idea how to do any of this. It would be good, if there was a way that they could nominate the Agent from Xero instead. Perhaps the linking of the Xero file to the ATO…

  14. When 'ignoring' tax notices (letters) and adding a note this is only available to be viewed while the date is available in the payment tab. It would be handy to have the Tax History including the body of the note be available in the Statement tab when the amount is ignored as it is when amount changes.

  16. Xero gave us a tax estimate for deceased estates (but only within the first three years...), and on my very first trial of this new feature ran into a roadblock - I cannot find anywhere to input the PAYG Instalments paid by the deceased estate, therefore the estimate is inaccurate.

  20. Ability to connect to connect to the ATO and lodge activity statements where connected to multiple practices.
    We can lodge for clients we hold subscriptions for, but not for clients who self subscribe and grant us access.
    Have been advised if you're connected to multiple Xero HQ practices with the same email address and you try to lodge activity statements in Xero with the ATO, you'll get the error message – SBR.GEN.AUTH.006. This is because Xero can't determine which practice you're lodging activity statements in.
