Workpapers - Ability to create historic packs (6+ years old)
Ability to create historic workpaper paper packs over 6 years old would be helpful for those clients that need their accounts brought up to date and need to prepare financial statements over 6 years old.

Being open while appreciate the ease this would create for individual users, building customisation at this level would be quite complex. Not something we have plans for at present but we'll get a sense of the interest here. 🙂

Xero Education — Show Record of Achievement
It would be really useful if in Xero Central you could create a record of achievement which shows any Xero training which has been completed along with the date it was completed. I know you can see the modules that have been done, but it doesnt give the date and it doesnt display in a way that is easy to export to show others for CPD purposes.

AU Tax - Option to hide TFN on printed CURNN form
AU Tax - Printing Return Not Necessary tax returns
Currently Xero tax can print tax returns by withholding the TFN Numbers which is really good. However, if that same functionality can be added to CURNN- Return Not Necessary would be great.

Hubdoc |Clients - Indicate number of documents that need attention
We are starting to utilise the Xero email function to push PDF attachments through to files, to then either raise a bill or spend money.
For ease could it be possible to show the number of documents that need attention ie. Files (8) when we drop down on the client name?

Practice | Payroll - Top level Reports across all clients
It would be great if we could have access to reports that included all our clients with Payroll into one. E.g. I would like to be able to create a single report that captured all the employees from all account subscriptions we manage so I can see what their hourly rates are so I know who needs an increase when the minimum changes. Currently I need to create that report individually whereas the likes of Paysauce have that top level reporting to include all our subscriptions in one.

Practice Manager | Link custom fields in Jobs & Clients
In Xero Practice Manager - The Custom fields that can appear on the Client and Job are not common data. Eg. When you update a custom field on the Job the information does not flow through to the Client page where this is also displayed. This would be very helpful for a workflow to update in both places.

Practice Management | Financial reports for non Xero clients
Ledger system for Company Financials
I have just changed from Reckon Elite Practice Management to Xero Practice Management.
EPM allowed me to enter data from GL summaries from clients various accounting software, prepare year end journals and generate Financial Reports etc.I've found the Financial Report templates in HQ but can only use for clients with Xero subscriptions.
I would like to know what others are using for the above purposes if their client is not using Xero as their accounting software.

Practice Manager | Client - Auto archive prospect if lead is 'lost'
If a lead has been lost, can that automatically remove the 'prospects' in XPM, or do I have to go and archive them individually?

Xero HQ | Ask Queries - Control name of sender
The option to set the practice name as the sender for a query and not the Xero user. E.g. "Xero Accounting Group via Xero" and not "John Smith via Xero".

NZ Tax - Keep the sorting order
Where the notices are the same screen. It would be helpful if it held your sorting order. When you click on a date to accept the assessment, when you return to the list it is back in date order. I'd like to keep it in client name order.

Practice Manager - Option to exclude 'completed' from job list
Removal of 'completed' jobs from the job list when preparing an invoice in XPM.
Sometimes we invoice a parent client with multiple entities jobs appearing and this can be very hard to navigate when looking for current jobs to invoice - even if the status is marked to be invoiced. It would be more efficient if completed jobs just didn't appear in the list.

Xero HQ - Copy & paste organisation name and hyperlink to org in one
I'm being advised My Xero will be being replaced with Xero HQ. As an admin, one of my key roles is to grant user access. I like to confirm the access by sending/responding to the request with an email. In My Xero, I copy the name of the entity, and it's associated hyperlink, into my response email. When I do this in Xero HQ, there is no hyperlink associated with the entity name which means I need to navigate to the entity, grab the URL and hyperlink it manually.

Xero Tax (AU) - Colour code variances
Currently all ITR Notices of Assessment that come to Xero Tax with a variance are marked with an orange dollar sign ($).
It would help with variance investigation and client contact if the variances were colour coded so that positive variances (those that increase a refund or decrease a payable) are in a blue $, while negative variances (those that decrease a refund or increase a payable) are in the orange $. I would suggest green, but green is often used for 'this has been assessed and confirmed' so blue is a good compromise.
This will give a visual indication…

Xero HQ | Clients - Option to assign Chart of Accounts when creating a new Client
When setting up a new client in Xero, it would be great if we could select from a drop-down list the chart of accounts that we need instead of Xero automatically assigning one as we have found that it is assigning the wrong COA to the entities that we are creating. As an example - we have set up a Trust but have been given the COA for a Sole Trader. If we could have selected the Trust COA from a drop-down list, I believe it would give us a more accurate COA without the need to do so much…

AU Tax - Notes in Tax Return
There is currently no ability to type a Note relating to an item in a tax return. This would be for internal purposes only and provides a very handy audit trail.

BAS - Ability to adjust amount payable/refundable when preparing
My clients overpaid for BAS in previous quarter, results in CR amount on ATO portal.
It could be great if I can add this CR amount when preparing next BAS in Xero so they can offset payable/refundable amounts.2 votes -
Hubdoc - Allow files exceeding 3MB to be transferred to Xero
Allow files exceeding 3MB to be transferred to Xero. Currently, it just shows the link to the file in Hubdoc.
